Secret Lovers
On days I pass you by, you pretend that I'm not there,
The thought of you not wanting me, is very hard to bear.
I know I may be hard to forgive, after what I put you through,
But believe me when I say I'm sorry,
because I'm being honest and being true.
Even though I let you go, deep inside my heart I still do care,
And at times, I wonder why it was the love we couldn't share.
Your friends often say to me that you're keeping
your feelings hidden way behind,
I want you to tell me how you feel,
for it may be a better love we could find.
True love is hard to come by, but we found it somehow,
Something went wrong, and we're no longer together -
hopefully just for now.
I promise to remember you, and I hope you do the same,
And I will always think of you, every time I hear your name.
I don't think there will be another chance,
for us to love each other,
And I'll try to see other people for now,
but you will still be considered my lover.
