Huntington Beach, "Surf City" CA. about 1.5 hours south of L.A. A beautiful spot to relax and learn to surf or meet nice people from Belgium who invite you for a BBQ. But then, if the guy next to you in your room wakes up in the morning stung by bugs all over his body its just about time to move on... |

Lake Tahoe, CA. in late May, just one week after the last snow for the season. |

Portland, Oregon. Early June 2005. Pretty much latitude as Zurich, the scenery is very similar and they even have trams in the city and Starbucks coffee places. They must have copied all that from us I guess...
Kitesurfing: Well, a bit of an odd story that was. In Hood River (up the Gorge from Portfland) the winds are rather gusty at about 20knots avg at the moment. After my kite instructor was knocked out by the security leash and had to go back to stop it from bleeding we run into a guy's fishing rod with the jet ski. Lucky we did get away with that without hurting ourselves when the fishing rod wrapped itself around the accelerator handle and made the scooter go even faster... I will try again in La Ventana, MX |
