Instead of this picture of the magnificient landscape I should be putting a foto of one of the people in ATIU (one of the three islands I have visited in the cooks apart from RAROTONGA and AITUTAKI. They deserve all respect in their attitude towards life and community life in particular. They build the whole airstrip - which is actuallly part of the road on the island in community work. |

Lonley Planet is right: bring mosquito repellent. But most of all. Open your eyes and see paradise for a little while. I didn't know you could wakeboard in paradise though :-) The garden of Eden is a clacks! The island of AITUTAKI (below) also offers some good snorkelling and some nice german tourists (Alex and Roman) as well as heeeeeaps of shooting stars! But then what would you wish for in paradise? Maybe a pina colada? |
