| The film starts off with a man beside the bed of his fatally ill wife. After we have seen this fast forward 7 years to the present day. We see the same man and his son, eating. His son suggests that he re-marry before he is too old, the father agrees. Talking to a buisness mate, who's in the media buisness he tells him of his plans to re-marry. The frien agrees too and says they could set up an "audition" for a wife. From then on, the film seems like a romantic comedy with the men interviewing females for a film called My Heroine. Many women pass through the interview, but theres one that catches the huband-to-be's eye, Yamasaki Asami who is tall, and is very sexy. He seems to like her and says he'll call if they "need" her Not giving too much away for anyone who hasn't seen the film. I won't say much of the rest of the plot, but the last part of the film slowly free-falls into darkness and fear making you feel uneasy. The great thing about this film, is you feel for the main character and when you think he may be in danger you literally scream at him not to "go in there!" The end scene I've heard, got the film banned at one point and I can see why! Even the most hard-nosed film goer will feel rather "tart" at the end scene and your heart is in your mouth for the raging climax! I would rate this film 3 or 4 out of 5. Some would say 5 but I didn't really like this film in the end. Not because it was rubbish, but the end scene nearly made me sick and I taped over it straight away, promising never to watch it again. Which I'm yet to do so. It might put you off women for life and whenever somebody says "deeper" that word will bring shivers down your spine Watch it if you dare, I bloody did! |
