Cheerleading Discipline


 

    If a cheerleader . . .   

  has to serve a detention . . . he/she will run a mile

  is disrespectful to a teacher, principal or parent . . . he/she will run a mile

  is being rude/mean to anyone  . . . he/she will run a mile

  is late to practice without proper written excuse . . . he/she will run a mile

  is talking on sidelines (not cheering) . . . he/she will run a mile  

   is chewing gum in uniform or during practice . . . he/she will run a mile   

   is not dressing/properly dressing for practice . . . he/she will run a mile    

   is complaining to the extent of interfering with individual/squad performance  . . .  he/she will run a mile

   is breaking the school's dress code  . . . he/she will run a mile      

   is wearing jewelry to cheering events or practices  . . . he/she will run a mile

   does not have all hair pulled back in a ponytail. . . she will run a mile

   does not have athletic nails . . . he/she will run a mile

   is talking (when learning routines/when a coach is giving directions) . . . he/she will run a mile

   misses practice or a scheduled event  . . . he/she will run a mile     

  uses profanity . . . he/she will run a mile

   is not turning in his/her class assignments . . . he/she will run a mile

   is gossiping about any other cheerleader, student or school personnel . . . he/she will run a mile   

      * nice days mile on the track                  * yuck days 20 up/down laps in the Lynx hall

Probation
     A cheerleader will be put on probation after three detentions or violating 3 various
     offenses.
    

     The cheerleader will not be allowed to participate in any cheerleading activity
     during the probationary period.  He/She will not be allowed to wear his/her uniform
     the day of the game or to an activity.


Grounds for dismissal
     A cheerleader may be subject to removal after one probationary period.
     A cheerleader showing public displays of affection
(hand holding, kissing, hugging,
            inappropriate touching, etc)
     A cheerleader is skipping class time.
     A cheerleader being assigned to In-house Suspension, Suspension, or Expelled
     A cheerleader using or possessing drugs, tobacco, or alcohol.
     A cheerleader who fails to leave a party, function, location or event where the
         aforementioned items is present.
     A cheerleader may have one immediate emergency leave from a game or project
         will be allowed if accompanied by a letter signed by the parents.

All that you do as a cheerleader reflects on you, your teammates, your fellow students, your parents and me. You were chosen to serve as a cheerleader because you are the best!
