She self-studied interior design material specifications drafting and project management techniques. She likewise accepted the challenge of creating a corporate image and design standards manual for Maynilad Water and Sewerage, Inc. In 2000, due to the growing needs of its major client base, the Interior Design Team of Palafox Associates diversified by taking on its very first challenge with graphic designing. Cynthia was again tapped to handle this project. This initial mall graphics and signage project later became a standard design service provided by the firm.
