| Entwined in the whispers of the Sirens song
All logic and strength escapes me. From dusk until dawn, she leads me on While the depths of the blackened sea rapes me. The resonance penetrates into my core And makes one, the mind and the heart That are commonly consumed in a bitter war But now are united in dark. And for a brief instant Im surprised to find That already Ive surrendered my heart and my mind How easily I have succumbed to her cry That drowns my soul in a sweet lullaby Then, without warning, the song starts to fade And my hunger and yearning turns to a bitterness rage And as focus returns to my fluttering eyes I ponder the remorse of a neglected demise. One cannot fathom until their last breath The pain of rejection when rejected by death. And yet still worse is to know my sacrifice lacks And after giving my all, she still turns her back. But before long the melody brings me to life once again The end of a beginning the beginning of the end Theres no resisting the sirens song But be forewarned to approach with a cautious head An inch too far and youll lose your mind An inch too close and youre dead.
