What
would like for the office of Alumni Relations? |
1
I
think it would be nice to see as many alumni as possible
on a sheet and what they do for a living, or where they
work. This would be helpful maybe for applying for a
job, or looking into a prospective company to work for.

I
would like for the office of Alumni Relations to be a
source of networking for brothers looking for
internships, employment, or even some career advice or
inside info. And the VPAR can be one of the people to
help brothers make those connects with alumni.

Possibly a list of Alumni that have graduated and where
they are currently working with their contact
information so that we may get a hold of them, ask them
questions, and possibly use them as references if
possible if they are in our own field. |
4
To
get more Alumni involved with the collegiate chapters by
attending our initiations, social events, or coming as a
guest speaker. |
5
Someone who can do networking with alumni. |
6
To
improve relations between the Chapter and alumni.
Possibly to get updates about alumni, any advice they
may have to offer, and communication between the VPAR
and the chapter as a whole. |

How do
you see Alumni benefiting the chapter?. |
1
Well, there is a lot they can do because they have been
were we have, and they now know what we will soon find
out through experience. So, maybe they can help us with
our path through the business world. |
2
They
should be a source of information to the chapter,
informing us of possible career/internship
opportunities, a source for brothers to go to for advice
or information on a career path, choices, and interests.
3
Like
you said, they've been in our shoes before, so they may
be able to give us advice on applying for jobs, resumes,
cover letters, etc, as well as what is really important
when you get in to the real world, emphasize what we
really need to focus on while in school. |
4
Giving collegiate brothers advice about jobs (what to do
and not to do), and enforcing that brotherhood is for
life, not just in college. |
5
Networking, and updates on brothers |
6
Alumni can benefit the chapter through the wisdom of
their experiences, by offering advice about their
careers, job search experiences, and how they
contributed to the chapter and fraternity as a whole,
what they do for the fraternity after graduation.
