One of the most talked-about events in the EHW recently has been the situation surrounding the abduction of A.J.'s sister, Diane. She was taken by the RNF Alliance and held captive, eventually being forced to marry RNF-ally Justin Credible on EHW television. However, A.J. tried to even the odds best he could by kidnapping the manager of the RNF Alliance, The Mouth. This feud will reach it's culmination at Blood on the Streets with a street fight for the Hardcore title and the safe return of one of the kidnapped parties.
The EHW championship scene has been dominated by the names of two men recently: Reddz and Assasin. Reddz is the World and United States champion, plus one half of the Tag Team champions, while Assasin holds the Intercontinental and European straps, and is a member of the EHW Stable champions Olympus. However, both men put their top titles on the line at Blood on the Streets in what should be two classic match-ups.
The EHW has been forced to become more strict about it's new member acceptance policy due to many frauds and undedicated wrestlers trying to enter the federation's ranks. "If these kids can't let me see what they've got in the ring," co-owner Jack O'Riley said, "then there's no way I'm going to hire them." This comes after people like Hardkor, CJ Styles, and others have entered the EHW, only to put out a lackluster effort or steal the ideas of other roster members.
Creative Control Officer David Kilburn is back on the job, delivering the Blood on the Streets logo as his first job back. However, despite another great product, many backstage are questioning his desire to the job after taking off so abruptly on numerous occasions. Most of the backstage area looks down upon Kilburn, with one staffer saying that he wouldn't be surprised to see the Kilburn era come to an end.
