School Involvement Reflection
This year at Eastlake
High School has been excellent for
me. I have participated in many fun
activities, both athletic and non-athletic.
This year at Eastlake
I have played football and lacrosse. I
worked hard last off season, lifting weights and running, preparing for
football. My preparation paid off. I got a starting spot on JV, and was pulled
up with some teammates to go to playoffs with varsity. I also was awarded most improved defensive
player, which really showed me what hard work can do. Then, I had a season off where I lifted
weights and practiced for lacrosse, which was coming in spring. Our goal all season was to win our league. We accomplished that feet, going 9-1 in Metro
Conference play. (I wanted badly to win
10, we should have won 10, but we played horrible in our final conference
game). We still locked up Metro
though. Athletically, I had a great
year.
Most of my
previous school involvement at Eastlake
has been with sports. However, near the
end of this year I became interested and decided that I wanted to be in
ASB. I applied for the spot of
Commissioner of Athletics, and got the spot.
I will be working with 2 others in this position. I am looking forward to ASB, and the fun time
I will have being involved in that.
