Personal Reflection of 10th grade at Eastlake High School

As my sophomore year at Eastlake High School comes to a close, I reflect back on my many accomplishments, seeing that my hard work has paid off.  I am proud of myself and my work this year, it was difficult, but I endured to the end (almost).

As school started in July, so did football.  I had worked hard in the offseason, and saw the fruits of my labors.  I got to start and had a good season, earning Most Improved Defensive Player, and getting a call up with ten or so guys to the Varsity squad for plyoffs.  The atmosphere was great and it will benefit me in years to come.  I maintained excellent grades getting 4 A’s and getting put on the Honor Roll.  I improved in all my classes, and was especially proud maintaining 100% in my math class for most of the semester.  As semester one ended, I was happy.

Semester two has been a bit harder for me.  I have lacked organization, but still maintained my grades.  I studied hard for my AP European History test, and think I did well enough to pass it.  Athletically, I once again played Varsity lacrosse, playing midfield this year.  Our team won league for the first time ever.  We wanted that banner badly.  We lost in our first CIF playoff game, but it was against La Costa Canyon, the 25th best team in the nation, 1st west of the Mississippi.  As the year ends I scramble to get everything done, but will pull it off.  I also got accepted into ASB as one of the Commissioners of Athletics.  I look to have fun in this position next year.  I have had a great school year and hope it will continue to the next.
