Cooking Video Assignment

Seit einem paar Wochen haben wir deutsches Essen und deutsche Mahlzeiten studiert. Jetzt könnt ihr mir zeigen, was ihr gelernt habt. In einer Gruppe von 4, sollt ihr ein typisches deutsches Mittagessen plannen, zubereiten, und essen. Ihr müsst eine Vorspeise, ein Gemüse, eine Beilage, eine Hauptspeise, und eine Nachspeise machen und auch etwas zum trinken haben. Das Essen muss deutsch sein.

            Ich habe ein paar Kochbücher, aber ihr müsst vielleicht zum Bibliothek gehen. Ihr sollt die Vorbereitung und das Essen filmen, und eine Schrift zum mir geben. Ihr müsst auch mindestens 6 Adjectivendungen benutzen. Wenn es möglich ist, bringt euch etwas von dem Essem zur Klasse, um das wir all es schmecken können.

            Euere Noten kommen auf der folgenden Sachen an:

1. Grammar: in the script and on the video. Remember your adjective endings, subject/verb agreement, verb conjugations, NO ENGLISH, command forms, etc. (15 punkte)
2. Preparation: It should be obvious when watching the video that you have prepared for you lines. If you can’t memorize you lines, have someone hold cue cards for you, but don’t make it obvious that you are reading from cue cards. (15 punkte)
3. Fulfilling the requirements: Read back through the instructions above and make sure that you have included everything. Remember adjective endings and each food item that you have included. (15 punkte)
4. Quality of video: I realize that none of you are professional videographers but your video should run smoothly. (10 punkte)
5. Written Script: I need one copy of the script from your group. This script should include everyone’s lines, be legibly written, and on nice paper. (10 punkte)
6. Turning in recipes: I would like a copy of all of the recipes you use. These can be photocopied or written out. (10 punkte)
7. Bringing in dish to class: I would like you to bring in part of the meal you make so that everyone can try it. If each group does this, we should have quite a bit of food. (2 bonus punkte)
8. Participation: Every group member should participate equally in this project. Part of this grade will come from what I see you contributing in class but part of it will come from your groupmates’ evaluation of your participation. This is the only portion of your grade which will be individualized for this project. (15 punkte)
9. Total points possible:

• Group = 75 points (evaluation)
• Individual = 15 points (practice)
