Alles über mich!

 

Over the course of the first 3 chapters, we’ve been learning about how to give information about ourselves.  This project is meant to help pull together everything that we’ve done so far and to give you the opportunity to apply what you’ve learned.  This will be worth 100 points so please work hard and do a good job.  You will be given at least 3 days in class to work on the computers and the final project will be due on Friday November 14, 2002.

 

Task:  You are to create an “Alles über mich”  (All About Me) book, video, or Power Point presentation.  Your project must include the following information about yourself:

 

-       your name

-       your age

-       what you look like

-       where you are from

-       where you currently live

-       what you like to do in your free time

-       the members of your family (at least 3 generations) and what they look like

-       what your house is like

-       other information that you would like to share.

 

You must also include at least 10 pages/slides or be at least 3 minutes in length.  All writing and speaking should be done in GERMAN only and should be written with complete sentences.

 

You will also read your books to the class!

 

Available resources:

-       the textbook

-       EHS computers  for 3 days in class (MS Word, Power Point, Photo Shop, scanners, etc)

-       the art supplies I have in the room (markers, paper, yarn, scissors, glue, etc)

-       old magazines     

-       materials that you would like to bring in

 

*  Unfortunately, I cannot lend out audio/visual equipment to take home.  If you choose an option that requires this, you will need to provide it yourself.

 

 

Scoring Guide:  Your project will be graded according to the following criteria.

Illegible, very hard to read or watch; contains many cross-outs or major disruptions in the tape; extremely sloppy

Several messy areas or distruptions; somewhat sloppy or illegible 

Generally legible but some mistakes; illustrations or pictures could be better

Quality appearance; includes transitions; flows smoothly

Professional appearance; quality prints or illustrations; flows very smoothly

Content – 10 pages or slides or 3 minutes, vocabulary topics list above

Consists of fewer that 5 slides or 1 minute of tape; incomplete; missing many vocab topics

Consists of 6 slides or 1:30 min.  Missing 4 or more vocab topics

Consists of 7-8 slides and at least 2:00 of tape.  Missing 2-3 vocab topics

Consists of 9 slides or 2:30 min.  Missing 1 vocab topic

Consist of all 10 slides or 3:00 (or more) and contains all of the require vocab topics

Grammatical Accuracy and Mechanics

So many errors in spelling, punctuation, subject/verb agreements, conjugations, etc that it is almost incomprehensible

Many errors but it is possible to comprehend at least ½ of the project
