| Germany here I come! That's right, I'm heading to Germany to work and live! I just found out that KUKA Robotics GmbH, the 3rd largest robotics company in the world, has offered me a traineeship commencing on the 5th of May. KUKA is providing me with an apartment for the 12 months of my traineeship, sponsoring my work visa, and paying me a small salary so that I can come to Germany and learn the ropes. I know what you're thinking, Ned doesn't speak German! Luckily the company only requires fluent English and are happy for me to take up night school and learn German gradually. So later this year I expect to be fluent in German (I'm expecting the learning process will be sped up seeing as I'm going to be immersed in the language). So your next question is where in Germany excatly is it. Well by some strange coincidence the company is located just 40 minutes out of Munich in a city called Augsberg. Click here to see a map of exactly where this is. Click on the icon on the left to see the company web site. Lou still plans to join me in Germany but we have some visa issues, e.t.c, to work out yet. She is going to wait until I get to Germany and then fly straight there from Australia. Details have only just started coming through so I'll write more when I find out. I'm planning on staying in Canada until the end of the month and flying straight to Munich in early May. From Ned. |
