2005-2006 East Hartford High National Soceity of Black Engineers E-Board
Assistant Treasurer
Sheldon Saddler
Dear Parents and NSBE Members,

My name is Sheldon Saddler. I am the Assistant Treasurer for the East Hartford High School NSBE Jr. chapter for the 2005-2006 academic year.  One goal that I will strive to accomplish is to provide the financial means for this chapter and to leave a sufficient amount of funds for the chapters to follow. To do this I will strive to obtain corporate sponsors and to complete various and successful fundraisers. My other colleagues and I from the E-board are looking forward to this upcoming year. This is the year where I must lay down a solid foundation for the future chapters to follow. To do this I must reach my final goal, which is NSBEs Mission Statement: To increase the number of culturally responsible black engineers, who excel academically, succeed professionally, and positively impact the community."
Telecomunication Chair
Livia Brown
Dear Parents and NSBE Members,

My name is Karina Johnson.  I am a junior at East Hartford High School. I am currently the Telecommunication Chairperson for the 2005-2006 academic year. I have a lot of goals for our chapter this year.  I plan to fulfill my position description by advertising and publicizing our chapter activities and events. Also keeping the community informed about our chapter by updating our chapter website. As I continue to broadcast our chapter into the community, one goal is to get younger kids interested and involved in the National Society of Black Engineers and other profitable organizations. I look forward to working for the East Hartford High School National Society of Black Engineer this year.
And the community surrounding us.

Fundraising Chairperson
Dear Members and Parents,

My name is Shameka Anderson the Academic Excellence Chairperson for the East Hartford High School's NSBE Jr. chapter for the 2005-2006 academic year. My job is to make sure the chapter's members stay on top of their grades this year. There will be realistic goals for the members that we expect them to reach. The students who excel (which should and will be all members) will be awarded with not only a great feeling of accomplishment but member points that will be used toward conferences and other great privileges. As this years Academic Chair I will make it my job to make sure not only members maintain a 2.8 but to reach and help as many peers as I can as well. I plan on helping the seniors take advantage of all of the scholarships that are available. I want so much for every student in my school to graduate with flying colors and that can happen with the proper academic programs. If anyone has any questions about anything in the academic department parents and or students, please feel free to contact me at [email protected].

Thank you very much and I look forward to serving my community this year!
