SAR
MEMBERS
Ground SAR plates
have joined the Volunteer Firefighter
plates on the roads of Nova Scotia after December 1st of
1999!
The plates (and
vehicle registration) have been made
available to ACTIVE*
members of Ground SAR
units by the
Province of Nova Scotia.
Ground Search and
Rescue members are advised to
contact their team secretary or the nearest office of the
Registry of Motor Vehicles for more information or
applications for the plates/registration.
For the purposes
of this program, ACTIVE
MEMBERS are those who participate
in 20% or more of team activities and/or searches. An applicant must have been an
ACTIVE member of a SAR team
for at least 12 months
prior to making
application for a SAR
license plate.
