Prayer Requests <week of 09/26/04>



Alan Anderson:

- His truck is still not working.



Margaretta Arifin:

- Praise: I managed to finish my homework and I did quite good in my test unexpectedly.

- Pray for my friend Pravin; he's down with the flu and unable to work.

- Pray for Annie's salvation.

- Pray for Margaretta as she tries to witness to her professor



Allison Beasley:

- Wedding plans. Allison's grandmother is doing better and her mom has taken off work to be with her. Pray that she continues to get better and that her mom won't have to miss too much work. (Ongoing)



Troy and Carol Brown:

- Kay (teacher at Carol's school) and Jimmy Anthony (State-Farm insurance agent) - Flying out to Minnesota on Wednesday morning to have his kidney removed. He has a tumor that is malignant most likely. The kidney will either be removed by laser surgery or traditional means. Please pray for them as she will be out there with no other family.

- For salvation: Kendall, etc.



Will and Shannon Carroll:

- Praise: Shannon located an internship for this semester

- Will's ulcers; that God would heal them FAST!



Jonathan Chambers:

- Jonathan Fadden - spiritual need (ongoing)

-Wedding plans, financial struggles

- Pray that God reveals to me my calling soon.



Josh Chambers:

- Continue praying that I get done all that I need to get into a grad school sometime next year.

- Pray that God overwhelms me with compassion for the lost so I will not be afraid to initiate conversations with others.

- I need to get a decent job very soon.

- Pray for me to always seek God's guidance in my life.

For salvation: Luis, Jason and girlfriend, Norman, Matt, Eric, Jonathan, Shivaria.

- Joel ,a Christian, needs prayer to open opportunities to share his faith with others - not just friends!!!!



Laura and Stacey Girardeau:

- unspoken request for Stacy's co-worker

- Bengi Thompson - brain tumor - 36 years old - his wife is pregnant with 2nd child.

- Praise: finished work on Stacy's truck, for now at least.



Stephanie Kimes:

- Pray for Stephanie as she is in Atlanta. There was a lot of flooding near her apartment but I think her place is okay. Pray for those who lost a lot to water damage.



Joanna Kimes:

- Praise: Christine Spain accepted Christ Thursday!! Pray that she will find strength in the Lord and grow in her faith.

- Summer missions appointments: Pray that God will use me for his glory.

- Strength to share my faith with strangers and unbelievers

- School



Carla Mitchell:

- Ed Mitchell (husband) for salvation. Also pray that we as a class will find ways to reach out to him.

- Pray for my dad. He is having many health issues.

Praise: I get my first paycheck from Metter on Wednesday. Yeah!



Jesse and Rachel Pittman:

- Pray for Marilyn Manson, that he will see that Jesus is the way. He is my brother's role model.

- Salvation for my brother (Lucas Oxford)

- Praise: Both Jesse and Rachel have jobs now: Wal-mart Distribution Center and Dollar Tree respectively.



Amy Tanner:

- It is less than 3 weeks before the wedding - pray for stress levels and that everything gets done.

- Amy is traveling this weekend. Pray that she returns home safely.

Hurricane victims, the presidential election in November, current president, America, Iraq, Afghanistan, the future of our Sunday school class, the spiritual growth of our church, our pastor and deacons, church council to seek God's guidance in leading, the lost that we will share the gospel with to open their hearts to God's word.

Praise: Charlton Brown accepted the Lord as his savior this Sunday. He was visited our class with his friend Jackie Crawford. We thank God for them and hope that they continue to attend. Pray that God will equip us to disciple them because of their special needs.

Hurricane Jeanne is headed our way. Pray that the storms won't be very bad and that our homes, businesses and place of worship will be out of harms way.
