Prayer Requests      <week of 3/6/05>

 

Alan and Amy Anderson:

-  Friends John and Sonia Grady lost a baby recently.

-  (Alan):  Pray for the government – some people want to try to eradicate our religious heritage. 

- (Amy):  Allergies and dizziness.  I have a lot of studying this week and the way I feel will get in the way of that.  Pray that I will be able to focus and do well on the tests.

 

 Margaretta Arifin:

- God gave me a great idea on what to do my project on.  It will be on the gospel.

- For salvation:  Prof. Peter Smith, Mom and Dad, Annie; my friends at Nikko’s

 

Bichok:

- Pray for my relatives in Africa that I have not seen in 18 years.  Pray that they will be saved.

 

Troy and Carol Brown:

- (Troy):   If it is God’s will for me to go to Evangelism Boot Camp, He will get me in.

-                I will have a vasectome this Friday.

-               Pray for witnessing in Sav this Saturday.

- (Carol):   Korean families as they immigrate to Statesboro; also that people in Statesboro will accept them.

-                Praise:  The Spring Fling went well.  Parents tests went well.  My brother-in-law has a doctor’s appointment for his back this Thursday.

-     For salvation:  Kendall, James, Norman. . .

 

Timothy Callison:

 

Will and Shannon Carroll:  (last week’s)

-  (Shannon):  Pray that my job interview will go well.

- Isaac – pray that God will keep him healthy and well

- (Will):  Praise:  Audit is over; went well, learned a lot

Jonathan and Allison Chambers:

- Pray for our church – Give me unity or give me death!

- (Jonathan):  Co-worker Megan (16yrs old) wants to move in with her boyfriend.  Pray that she will listen to the advice of friends and that she will make the correct decision.

-(Allison):   There is a possible job opening at work but I’m not sure if I want to take a different job now that I am beginning to settle into this one, which I enjoy. 

- Pray for her trip to Macon.

Rebekah (co-worker / friend) – was fired.  She isn’t saved.

- Finances, ministry, future goals.

- For Salvation:    T.J. Moore, Joel, Megan, Jeremy, Mike

 

Josh Chambers:

- Continue praying for me as I seek God’s guidance for my life.  He is calling me to the ministry.

- Praise:  I talked to pastor Ron Andrew at Fletcher Memorial Baptist Church and it looks like we will be doing a 1-Day seminar some Saturday after Easter.  They will also start the Foundation Course as          a Wednesday bible study.

- Pray that those kids who attended the Disciple Now last weekend will take to heart what they learned and let it really affect their lives.  I am very concerned about the salvation of many of our youth.

- Youth Search Committee -  they met with a prospect and they seem positive about it.  Pray for God’s will in their final selection.  Also pray for the Music Minister Search Committee as they look.

For salvation:  LUIS (I keep bumping into Luis at GSU.  Maybe God is trying to work on him.  Pray that I will say the right things to him whenever I do see him), Jason and girlfriend, Norman,                                           Matt, Eric, Jonathan, Shivaria, Jin, Kevin, Todd, Chris, Josh, and  Brooke, Jeremy, Brandon, Ryan, Moya, Lakeisha, Tia, Randy, David, Synthia, Demarco, William, Lisa, Anthony, Chuma (from Nigeria)

     For Christians to witness:  Joel, Tanya, Quan, Cedric, and all of us to take the opportunities God gives us.

 

Vette Dixon:  (Last month)

 

Stacey and Laura Girardeau:   

- (Laura):  Praise – They were able to fix her sister’s car this week.

- (Stacey):  Grandmother is in the emergency and they are afraid she could develop pneumonia.

 

Stephani Kimes: 

- Coworker (Kari) and her relationship with her stepdaughter.

 

Joanna Kimes:       

- spring break missions -  pray that God will use me to further His kingdom; pray that the money will be there for me to go.

 

Carla Mitchell:

-  Mom fell and scratched up her face really bad and hurt her knee and hand.  Husband’s (Ed) grandfather has lung cancer.  He may be starting treatments this month.

 

Jesse and Rachel Pittman:    (weeks ago / ongoing)

- They have just recently moved.  Pray for them as they get settle in Dalton, Ga.  Pray for their spiritual needs as well.

 

Ronnie Spear:

- Two of my friends lost their grandfather last week.  Pray that Ronnie can comfort.

     America, Iraq, Afghanistan, the future of our Sunday school class, the spiritual growth of our church, our pastor and deacons, church council to seek God’s guidance in leading, the lost that we will share the gospel with to open their hearts to God’s word.

   Praise:  Charlton Brown accepted the Lord as his savior.  He was visited our class with his friend Jackie Crawford.  We thank God for them and hope that they continue to attend.  Pray that God will equip us to disciple them because of their special needs.  Pray that they start attending again.

       That each member of our class will find time during the week to reach out to the lost and share the important Gospel message with those they encounter.  For Kirk Cameron and Ray Comfort as they continue making new episodes that will strengthen our ability and effectiveness in reaching the lost for Christ.

                Pray for the Tsunami victims; the families of those effected; the clean-up efforts; the financial support; the rebuilding of buildings, homes, and lives.
