Prayer Requests      <week of 2/6/05>

 

Alan and Amy Anderson:

-  Friends John and Sonia Grady lost a baby recently.

-  (Alan):  Grandad has 95% blocked artery in his neck.  He has to wait 2 months for surgery.

 

 Margaretta Arifin:

- pray for the people I witnessed to:  Matt, Ashley, Phillip

- Pray for my school work.  I have a lot of projects every week.

- Pray for all of us to find opportunities to witness during the week.

- For salvation:  Prof. Peter Smith, Mom and Dad, Annie; my friends at Nikko’s

 

 

Troy and Carol Brown:

- (Troy):   If it is God’s will for me to go to Evangelism Boot Camp, He will get me in.

-                Wisdom and strength at work for the next several weeks as things are very busy

-                 Wisdom on taking the Way of the Master to other churches.    

- (Carol):   Korean families as they immigrate to Statesboro; also that people in Statesboro will accept them.

-                Brother-in-law’s (Mike and Robbie Crawford) – they are both having back problems.

-     For salvation:  Kendall, James, Norman. . .

 

Timothy Callison:

- We are glad that Tim came this Sunday.  We hope that you continue to come as much as you can.

 

Will and Shannon Carroll:  (last week’s)

- Isaac – pray that God will keep him healthy and well

- (Will):  Praise:  Audit is over; went well, learned a lot

Jonathan and Allison Chambers:

- Pray for our church – Give me unity or give me death!

- (Jonathan):  God’s will for my life.

-(Allison):   Rebekah (co-worker / friend) – was fired.  She isn’t saved.

- Finances, ministry, future goals.

- For Salvation:    T.J. Moore, Joel, Megan, Jeremy, Mike

 

Josh Chambers:

- Continue praying for me as I seek God’s guidance for my life.  He is calling me to the ministry.

- Praise:  It was mentioned Monday during the church council meeting that we should have all the adult Sunday school classes go through the Foundational Course for 8 weeks starting in March.  Please  pray that this becomes a reality and that our church will become spiritual torches for Christ.

- Pray that God will really use the Way of the Master in our city and the surrounding areas.  Pray that we can get the pastors in the area fired up about showing this in their churches.

For salvation:  LUIS (I keep bumping into Luis at GSU.  Maybe God is trying to work on him.  Pray that I will say the right things to him whenever I do see him), Jason and girlfriend, Norman,                                           Matt, Eric, Jonathan, Shivaria, Jin, Kevin, Todd, Chris, Josh, and  Brooke, Jeremy, Brandon, Ryan, Moya, Lakeisha, Tia, Randy, David, Synthia, Demarco, William, Lisa, Anthony, Chuma (from Nigeria)

     For Christians to witness:  Joel, Tanya, Quan, Cedric, and all of us to take the opportunities God gives us.

 

Vette Dixon:  (Last month)

- my back pain.  The doctor’s don’t know what is wrong.  I want an answer so the doctors know what to do.

 

Stacey and Laura Girardeau:   

 

Stephani Kimes: 

- Coworker (Kari) and her relationship with her stepdaughter.

 

Joanna Kimes:       

-  Youth Valentines Banquet.

- spring break missions -  pray that God will use me to further His kingdom; pray that the money will be there for me to go.

 

Carla Mitchell:

- MAT test on Saturday for acceptance into graduate school.

- Mandy (mother of 2 that was in the motorcycle accident) is still in the hospital but doing better

 

Jesse and Rachel Pittman:    (weeks ago / ongoing)

- They have just recently moved.  Pray for them as they get settle in Dalton, Ga.  Pray for their spiritual needs as well.

 

Ronnie Spear:

- We are happy to have him in our class again.

- Pray that he will reach out to those around him with the gospel.  He tells me that he passes out tracts and talks to people sometimes.  He is a great guy; he has a real concern for the unsaved.

     America, Iraq, Afghanistan, the future of our Sunday school class, the spiritual growth of our church, our pastor and deacons, church council to seek God’s guidance in leading, the lost that we will share the gospel with to open their hearts to God’s word.

   Praise:  Charlton Brown accepted the Lord as his savior.  He was visited our class with his friend Jackie Crawford.  We thank God for them and hope that they continue to attend.  Pray that God will equip us to disciple them because of their special needs.  Pray that they start attending again.

       That each member of our class will find time during the week to reach out to the lost and share the important Gospel message with those they encounter.  For Kirk Cameron and Ray Comfort as they continue making new episodes that will strengthen our ability and effectiveness in reaching the lost for Christ.

                Pray for the Tsunami victims; the families of those effected; the clean-up efforts; the financial support; the rebuilding of buildings, homes, and lives.
