Prayer Requests      <week of 12/05/04>

 

Alan and Amy Anderson:

- Praise:  Pero Negro who works at Jalapeno’s was on his way back to Mexico when he realized he forgot the Spanish Bible that Alan gave him.  He                 promptly returned for it.  I hope each of us can cherish our Bibles as much as Pero.

- Amy: that I can handle myself in a manner that speaks to my fellow workers.  And that she can be patient with the rude holiday shoppers.

-  Alan’s friends at Jalapenos for salvation;  Angel (Alan’s friend) reading the Spanish Bible and asking Alan questions.

 

 Margaretta Arifin:

- Pray for coming exams; for safety for our trip to Orlando.  That we all remember the meaning of Christmas as we celebrate it.

- Praise:  My friend Shona was ready to get a divorce but the Lord intervened and put a christian counselor in her path.  She just began her 7 weeks of trying out the counseling methods.  Pray for her marriage.

- For salvation:  Prof. Peter Smith, Mom and Dad, Annie

 

Jeff Beasley:

- My brother and his buddies / roommates;  grandparents illnesses;   Mom’s job.

- My co-workers at Moe’s is a suffering group.  Many people need help.

 

Kristi Bridges:

- My grandmother (Christine Troxell) has terminal cancer.  Pray for her strength dealing with the sickness and keeping her spirits up.

- My mom (Aras Bridges).  She is taking care of my grandmother.  She isn’t sleeping much and is very stressed.

- My boyfriend Jeff Beasley for his test coming up and graduating.

 

Troy and Carol Brown:

- Carol:  I have lots of things going on.  Pray that I don’t get stressed.

- Let me be on the ball and prepared for my student teacher next semester.  Pray that she will be a good student and prepared for class.

- Troy:  I start interviewing for an open position at work next week.  Pray that the Lord brings the right person, a hard-working person.

Praise:   Work was really good this past week.

- For salvation:  Kendall, James, Norman... .

 

Clint Cannady:

- Pray for Heather Lane because she is lost and she doesn’t have a way to church.  She is looking for a church to go to.

 

Timothy Callison:

 

Will and Shannon Carroll:

- Shannon:  beginning internship in January

- Will:  Baby Isaac – cold.  Me – cold.  Pray for him as he is preparing to teach the lesson on Mormonism next week.

- Praise:  Shannon is graduating from college.

 

Jonathan and Allison Chambers:

- finances / house

- To trust in God

- New marriage

- George W. Bush and the nation.

- Way of the Master bible study, those witnessing and those they witness to; our class as they evangelize the world.

 

Josh Chambers:

- Continue praying for me as I seek God’s guidance for my life.  He may be calling me to the ministry.

- Praise:  God is so good.  Pray that I can make him proud.  

     For salvation:  LUIS, Jason and girlfriend, Norman, Matt, Eric, Jonathan, Shivaria, Jin, Kevin, Todd, Chris, Josh, and  Brooke, Jeremy, John, Mike, AJ..

     For Christians to witness:  Joel, Tanya, Quan, Cedric, and all of us to take the opportunities God gives us.

 

Vette Dixon:

- my back pain.  The doctor’s don’t know what is wrong.  I want an answer so the doctors know what to do.

 

Stacey and Laura Girardeau:   

 

Stephani Kimes:    (Ongoing)

Praise:  Chris’s dad found a job.  Woohoo!  Her job is going very well.

 

Joanna Kimes:

- Praise:  Last week of school.  Josh and I got married!

- Exams (5 this week); my new leadership role at BSU for next semester; Way of the Master 1-Day Seminar in January

- Youth search committee and the youth group.

- Sarah L. – depression / suicidal tendencies;  Josh – follow and listen to God’s guidance involving career and ministry.

- Caryn – seek God’s guidance and for me to be an effective witness to her.

- Summer mission applications – that God will use me this summer to further His kingdom.

 

Carla Mitchell:

Praise:  Ed got a job!!  Super Awesome!!  Also, I won a $5,000 grant to use for science in my classroom.

- Ed Mitchell (husband) for salvation and to find a job.  Also pray that we as a class will find ways to reach out to him. (ongoing)

- Ed’s grandfather is having health issues, chest pains. 

 

Jesse and Rachel Pittman:    (weeks ago)

- Salvation for my brother (Lucas Oxford) and Stan Oxford (dad).

- Our new friends James and Casey.  That God will help us teach them and that He will give us strength.

 

Katie Roundtree:

- Praise:   will be done with school in December.

- Looking for a job.

 

Ronnie Spear: 

- Pray for those from Friendship Baptist going to YEC in Macon.  Help them to be safe and grow closer to God.

     America, Iraq, Afghanistan, the future of our Sunday school class, the spiritual growth of our church, our pastor and deacons, church council to seek God’s guidance in leading, the lost that we will share the gospel with to open their hearts to God’s word.

   Praise:  Charlton Brown accepted the Lord as his savior.  He was visited our class with his friend Jackie Crawford.  We thank God for them and hope that they continue to attend.  Pray that God will equip us to disciple them because of their special needs.  Pray that they start attending again.

       That each member of our class will find time during the week to reach out to the lost and share the important Gospel message with those they encounter.  For Kirk Cameron and Ray Comfort as they continue making new episodes that will strengthen our ability and effectiveness in reaching the lost for Christ.

 

    Pray for our troops in Iraq and Afghanistan.  Pray for their safety and that they will use good judgment in performing their duties.
