Prayer Requests      <week of 10/17/04>

 

Alan and Amy Anderson:

-  Praise:  The newlyweds made it home safely earlier this week.  Continue to pray for their marriage and new life together.  May God use them in a powerful way.

 

 Margaretta Arifin:

- My friend Amanda is suffering persecution from her own mom, Eileen, because she is involved in a different church.   

- Erica, a professing Christian, for her spiritual growth in her walk with Jesus.

Praise:   My sister, Sylvia’s recovery.  And everything went well with my work.

 

Allison Beasley:

- My grandmother is not doing well.  She is showing possible signs of Alzheimers.  My mom is under a lot of stress and not getting much sleep while caring for her.

- Wedding plans

-  Pray that Jeff will start coming to church.

 

Troy and Carol Brown:

- Praise:   Diefenbach’s (Cindy and Brian) adopted a baby boy.

- Tyler, a student, for emotional, medical, home life needs.

-     For salvation:  Kendall, James, Norman. . .

 

Timothy Callison:

- My aunt Jan will probably have back surgery soon.  Pray for God’s healing either with or without the surgery.

 

Will and Shannon Carroll:

- Isaac is sick with a runny nose.  Shannon is sick, cough.  Pray that Will won’t get sick.

-  Will - going to graduate school, money, work, mentally, GRE.

 

Jonathan Chambers:

-Wedding plans, financial struggles

- Javon and Dawn Longieliere - miscarriage.

- George W. Bush and the nation.  The election is in 2 weeks from Tuesday.  Pray that Christians will stand up for what is right.

- Marriage amendment

- Way of the Master bible study, those witnessing and those they witness to.

 

Josh Chambers:

- Continue praying that I get done all that I need to get into a grad school sometime next year.

- Job, for me to always seek God’s guidance, motivation to study for intellectual improvement.

     For salvation:  Luis, Jason and girlfriend, Norman, Matt, Eric, Jonathan, Shivaria, Jin, Kevin, Todd, Chris, Josh, and  Brooke, Jeremy

     For Christians to witness:  Joel, Tanya, Quan, Cedric

 

Stacey and Laura Girardeau:    (as of last week)

- unspoken:   family concern

- Praise:   got a new camper.  Pray that we can sell the old one.

 

Stephani Kimes:    (Ongoing)

- Chris’ dad lost his job again.  Keep his whole family in your prayers.

 

Joanna Kimes:

- Dad and grandparents traveling this week.

- School, projects, tests, and True Love Waits service.

- presidential election

 

Carla Mitchell:

- Ed Mitchell (husband) for salvation.  Also pray that we as a class will find ways to reach out to him. (ongoing)

- Pray that Carla’s dentist appointment went well.  Also, remember her mom who is to have rotator cuff surgery.

 

Jesse and Rachel Pittman:

- Salvation for my brother (Lucas Oxford) and Stan Oxford (dad).

- Our new friends James and Casey.  That God will help us teach them and that He will give us strength.

   Hurricane victims, the presidential election in November, current president, America, Iraq, Afghanistan, the future of our Sunday school class, the spiritual growth of our church, our pastor and deacons, church council to seek God’s guidance in leading, the lost that we will share the gospel with to open their hearts to God’s word.

   Praise:  Charlton Brown accepted the Lord as his savior this Sunday.  He was visited our class with his friend Jackie Crawford.  We thank God for them and hope that they continue to attend.  Pray that God will equip us to disciple them because of their special needs.

       That each member of our class will find time during the week to reach out to the lost and share the important Gospel message with those they encounter.  For Kirk Cameron and Ray Comfort as they continue making new episodes that will strengthen our ability and effectiveness in reaching the lost for Christ.
