Prayer Requests      <week of 10/10/04>

 

Alan and Amy Anderson:

- Praise:  The wedding ceremony was wonderful.  We are so glad that they made this step in their lives.  I know that God will bless them!

 

Margaretta Arifin:

- Pray for me at work.  I have a few problems, just pray for the Lord to help me work this out.

Praise:   My sister is well and coming back to church

 

Allison Beasley:

- My grandmother is not doing well.  She is showing possible signs of Alzheimers.  My mom is under a lot of stress and not getting much sleep while caring for her.

- Wedding plans

-  Jeff has moved into his new apartment.  Pray that he will start coming to church.

 

Troy and Carol Brown:

- Pray that they have a safe trip home from Disney.

-     For salvation:  Kendall, James, Norman. . .

 

Will and Shannon Carroll:

- Praise:  Shannon located an internship for this semester

- Will’s ulcers; that God would heal them FAST!

 

Jonathan Chambers:

-Wedding plans, financial struggles

- Way of the Master bible study, those witnessing and those they witness to.

- Luis (devout catholic), Chad (atheist), Misty Fadden (spiritual guidance for her life – she is looking for something), Jeremy Sapp (spiritual need).

- Vette Dixon – spiritual and physical needs

 

Josh Chambers:

- Continue praying that I get done all that I need to get into a grad school sometime next year.

- I need to get a decent job very soon.

- Pray for me to always seek God’s guidance in my life.

      For salvation:   Luis, Jason and girlfriend, Norman, Matt, Eric, Jonathan, Shivaria, Jin, Kevin, Todd, Chris, Josh, and Brooke.

     For Christians to witness:  Joel, Tanya, Quan

 

Stacey and Laura Girardeau:

- unspoken:   family concern

- Praise:   got a new camper.  Pray that we can sell the old one.

 

Stephani Kimes:

- Chris’ dad lost his job again.  Keep his whole family in your prayers.

 

Joanna Kimes:

- Pray for friend of mine to seek the Lord and do His will.

- Youth “True Love Waits” service coming up

- My grandparents are traveling here this weekend

 

Carla Mitchell:

- Ed Mitchell (husband) for salvation.  Also pray that we as a class will find ways to reach out to him.  (ongoing)

- I broke a back tooth and I must go to the dentist.  I have a phobia of dentists which causes me to get very nervous and cry lots.  Also, I do not have deductible to pay the dentist

- Praise:   Tennessee beat Georgia  (big TN fan – born in Nashville)

 

Jesse and Rachel Pittman:

- Pray for Marilyn Manson, that he will see that Jesus is the way.  He is my brother’s role model.

- Salvation for my brother (Lucas Oxford) and Stan Oxford (dad).

- Jesse’s mom (Elizabeth) is having surgery in Texas.  She has no family there to support her.

   Hurricane victims, the presidential election in November, current president, America, Iraq, Afghanistan, the future of our Sunday school class, the spiritual growth of our church, our pastor and deacons, church council to seek God’s guidance in leading, the lost that we will share the gospel with to open their hearts to God’s word.

   Praise:  Charlton Brown accepted the Lord as his savior this Sunday.  He was visited our class with his friend Jackie Crawford.  We thank God for them and hope that they continue to attend.  Pray that God will equip us to disciple them because of their special needs.

       That each member of our class will find time during the week to reach out to the lost and share the important Gospel message with those they encounter.  For Kirk Cameron and Ray Comfort as they continue making new episodes that will strengthen our ability and effectiveness in reaching the lost for Christ.
