Prayer Requests      <week of 1/16/05>

 

Alan and Amy Anderson:

- (Amy):  her classes at GSU, that she will be more comfortable in them.

-  Alan’s friends at Jalapenos for salvation;  Angel (Alan’s friend) reading the Spanish Bible and asking Alan questions.

 

 Margaretta Arifin:

- For salvation:  Prof. Peter Smith, Mom and Dad, Annie

- I need lots of prayer for “retaliation” issue.

- I have been slacking in witnessing.  Pray for me to have a renewed commitment and determination.

- Pray for my friends at Nikko’s for their salvation.

 

Troy and Carol Brown:

- Praise:   Jenna and Kate came back.

- Mike Crawford (bro in-law) – major back problems; affecting life, work, wife, children.  He needs back surgery again; they have no insurance for medical needs and no extra money for his stay in hospital.

- Amy Tomberlin

- Teacher’s family at school; her daughter is pregnant and has not support.

- (Troy):   Heavy work load for the next few weeks;  interviewing for a position and I want to hire the person God wants;  spiritual guidance for the future.

-     For salvation:  Kendall, James, Norman. . .

 

Timothy Callison:

- We miss Timothy.  Please take the time this week to call him and let him know that he is missed.

 

Will and Shannon Carroll:

- Isaac – pray that God will keep him healthy and well

Jonathan and Allison Chambers:

- (Jonathan):  my coworkers:  Megan, Jeremy, Jonathan F., Mike and his family.

- Young black guy from the library who struggles with pornography

- My grandma (Vieta Dankert) – fell and hurt her check bone and jaw; she is also nearly blind in both eyes, will have her eyes checked in January and February.

- Pray that God would reveal to me, or better yet that I will listen and hear God’s voice for His will for my life.  I have a passion for people, evangelism, missions, sharing the gospel, political,  government, etc.  I want to do God’s will!  I am open to advice.  Thanks.

- Pete Florence (Maurice’s brother) – was in a bike accident.  He had surgery on his face and a rod in his left leg.

-(Allison):   Rebekah (co-worker / friend) – was fired on Friday; she just broke up with her boyfriend before Christmas and is having a lot of car problems.  She isn’t saved.

- Pray for me to have the courage and the boldness to witness.

- Pray for God to provide for Jonathan and me financially.

 

Josh Chambers:

- Continue praying for me as I seek God’s guidance for my life.  He is calling me to the ministry.

- Praise:  I have been asked to be the contemporary worship intern until a more permanent replacement can be found.  Pray for God to guide me to lead worship effectively and with passion.

- Pray that God will really use the Way of the Master 1-Day Seminar this Saturday.  Pray that we get everything finished and in order to make it a wonderful seminar that will change lives!!!!

     For salvation:  LUIS, Jason and girlfriend, Norman, Matt, Eric, Jonathan, Shivaria, Jin, Kevin, Todd, Chris, Josh, and  Brooke, Jeremy

     For Christians to witness:  Joel, Tanya, Quan, Cedric, and all of us to take the opportunities God gives us.

 

Vette Dixon:

- my back pain.  The doctor’s don’t know what is wrong.  I want an answer so the doctors know what to do.

 

Stacey and Laura Girardeau:    (weeks ago)

- Let them know that they have been missed these last few weeks.

 

Stephani Kimes: 

Praise:   I believe that Chris’s (her boyfriend) dad found a job not too long ago.

 

Joanna Kimes:        (HAPPY 21^st BIRTHDAY – send her a birthday message this week)

- Discipleship Now put on by the BSU.  I am going to be very involved with this.  Pray that God will change hearts and lives and that all will go well.

- My aunt Jami lost her baby.  Pray for her to have strength as well as her husband and my mom as we comfort her.

- spring break missions -  pray that God will use me to further His kingdom.

 

Carla Mitchell:

- Pray for Lindsey and Erik Johnson’s mom who was in a motorcycle accident;  her brain is swelling; she is not expected to live; she is a single mom with no insurance.

 

Jesse and Rachel Pittman:    (weeks ago / ongoing)

- Salvation for my brother (Lucas Oxford) and Stan Oxford (dad).

- Our new friends James and Casey.  That God will help us teach them and that He will give us strength.

Hollie (youth) accepted the Lord.  Please help us to give her proper guidance and for her to read the Word.

 

     America, Iraq, Afghanistan, the future of our Sunday school class, the spiritual growth of our church, our pastor and deacons, church council to seek God’s guidance in leading, the lost that we will share the gospel with to open their hearts to God’s word.

   Praise:  Charlton Brown accepted the Lord as his savior.  He was visited our class with his friend Jackie Crawford.  We thank God for them and hope that they continue to attend.  Pray that God will equip us to disciple them because of their special needs.  Pray that they start attending again.

       That each member of our class will find time during the week to reach out to the lost and share the important Gospel message with those they encounter.  For Kirk Cameron and Ray Comfort as they continue making new episodes that will strengthen our ability and effectiveness in reaching the lost for Christ.

                Pray for the Tsunami victims; the families of those effected; the clean-up efforts; the financial support; the rebuilding of buildings, homes, and lives.
