This week we learned about JUNGLE ANIMALS.
Books we read:
Down by the Station, by Will Hillenbrand
Tigress, by Helen Cowcher
How Leo Learned to be King, by Marcus Pfister
Projects we did:
Lions
We made lions, we painted a paper plate yellow. Then we glued on orange triangle for the mane, a brown triangle for the nose, and a yellow and a black circle for the eyes.
Elephants
We painted to paper plates grey. Ms. Eta cut out one of the plates to make the trunk and the ears. Then she attached them together with paper fasteners. We glued on eyes.
Songs we sang:
Five Little Monkeys (to the tune of "Hush Little Baby")
Five little monkeys jumping on the bed
One fell off and bumped his head
Momma called the doctor
And the doctor said
No more monkeys jumping on the bed
(Continue singing with descending numers.)
Please note that if your child doesn�t come every day, he or she may not have done all of the projects that week.
