Dad bought this 200 year old log cabin for $300. He dissassembled it and moved the logs to his land, where it is to be reconstructed. I just got out of college for Christmas break, and I am helping Dad put it all together. The basement walls were finished before I came onto the scene. I will be posting pictures of our daily progress hopefully every day.
Day1: beginning of floor framing. We didn't get much done because it starting raining on us.
Day2: Nice, sunny day, but Dad had to work at 1:00.
|
Days 3 & 4: Most of this progress got done on day three. That day, we had a flock of turkeys land in the trees all around us. Day 4 was colder than three hells when we got up, and we needed to make a big trip to Lowe's, so we didn' get too much done.
Day 5: Mom helped us finish the sub-floor.
Day 6: The whole family came out and we began organizing and planning for the placement of the logs.
