| Richard O'Connell Richard, most commonly known as Rick, grew up in an orphanage in Cairo. Later in life he lived in Chicago, Illinois. After a string of rather questionable events, ( Bank jobs being one of them..) he joined the French Foreign Legion. He has mastered many forms of combat, including guns, hand-to-hand, and explosives. After his entire garrison was taken out by a Tuareg army in 1923, he deserted. He was later arrested in 1926 for "looking for a good time" And placed in the Cairo Prison. There he met Evelyn Carnahan and her brother, Jonathan, who stole a puzzle box and a map from him in a bar. The prison intended to hang him for his crimes yet Evelyn saved his life before he was strangled to death. He lead her and her brother to the Lost City of Hamunaptra where the mummy Imhotep was awakened and defeated. He later married Evelyn and together they have a son; Alex. He now lives in London with his family. Recently, he and his wife found the Braclet of Anubis while on a dig at Seti I's temple. While rescuing his son from the clutches of Imhotep he was informed by his friend Ardeth that he is a Medjai and he is destined to protect his wife. Evelyn Carnahan-O'Connell Evelyn was born in London to her mother, an adventureous Egyptian woman, and her father, Howard Carnahan, who were both present at the discovery of Tutankhamen's tomb. She spent most of her childhood in Egypt and was schooled in London. Throughout her life she has strived to make an impression in the field of Egyptology. She can translate Ancient Egyptian and Hieratic exceptionally. After the death of her parents, which were rumoured to be caused by the Curse of King Tut, (though they died in a plane crash) she was appointed librarian of the Cairo Museum of Antiquities, because her parents were some of the museum's finest patrons. She had applied to the Bembridge scholars many times with no avail. In 1926 her life changed dramatically over the course of a few days. Her brother Jonathan stole a puzzle box with a map to the lost city of Hamunaptra from Rick O'Connell. Rick led them to the lost city and on the way, he and Evelyn began to fall in love. Hovever, Evelyn read from the Book of the Dead bringing back to life a 3,000 year-old mummy with a curse upon him to wreck havok across the sands of Egypt. Together, Evelyn, Jonathan, and Rick were able to stop the mummy before it was too late. Evelyn and Rick were soon married. She now lives in London with Rick, their son, Alex, and her brother, Jonathan in the Carnahan's manor. and is being begged by the Bembridge scholars to run the British Museum. She and her husband recently found the Braclet of Anubis. Alex placed it on his wrist and started a cataclysmic chain of events, which led to the discovery that she is the reincarnation of princess Nefertiri and her brief death in the Oasis of Ahm Shere. Thanks to her son and brother, she is alive today. Jonathan Carnahan Jonathan is Evelyn's older brother. He was born in London and, much like his younger sister, was trained in the field of Egyptology but he is in it more for wealth and treasure. After their parents died in 1922, Jonathan had to look out for his younger sister, and still does to this day. He loves to gamble and spend time with pleasurable company. He is well skilled with a rifle, but miserable at hand to hand combat. In 1926 he stole a puzzle box from Rick O'Connell in a pub in Cairo. This slight of hand later led to the awakening of a 3,000 year old mummy and the romance between his sister and Rick. He now lives in London with his siter, her husband Rick, and his nephew, Alex. He is quite fond of his nephew and the pair spend time together quite frequently. Allthough he has little in common with his brother in law, they both get along quite well when Alex and Evy's safety is involved. When his nephew was recently kidnapped, he was right in the action to save him and he showed a great deal of remorse when his sister died breifly in Ahm Shere, and was quite determined to save her with the help of Alex. He can be quite goofy, egotistical, and irresponsible, but he comes through in the end. Alex O'Connell Alex, Evy and Rick's son, was born in London in the mid-1920's. He is eight-years old, and quite brilliant for his age. He can read and speak Ancient Egyptian and has a great eye for detail. Alex is quite mischievious, much like his mother and his uncle. He inherited a love for Egypt from his mother and grandparents, and quite a bit of bravery from his father. Recently, he placed the bracelet of Anubis on his wrist which nearly allowed Imhotep to take over the world. With the help of his uncle, Jonathan, he was able to bring back his mother from the dead. This ingenious little boy is matured well beyond his age. Ardeth Bay Ardeth is the leader of the 12 tribes of the Medjai. It is his sworn duty to protect this world from the powers of the ancient that will harm it if tampered with. When he first met Evelyn, Rick, and Jonathan, he was trying to stop them from discovering too much in the Lost City of Hamunaptra. He and his people were unfortunately too late. He assisted the Carnahan's and Rick in the destruction of Imhotep and his plans to raise his lover, and has remained a friend of the family ever since. Recently, he showed up at the O'Connells' home in London to warn them that Imhotep was being risen again. Together, Ardeth, Rick, Evelyn, and Jonathan were able to defeat the creature and send the Scorpion King and his army, as well as Imhotep back to the underworld. Imhotep Imhotep was the Seti I High Priest of Thebes in the 19th Dynasty in Ancient Egypt. He and the Pharaoh's misress, Anck-su-namun were romantically involved behind the Pahraoh's back. Together, he and Anck-su-namun killed the Pharoaoh and were both sentanced to death for their crimes. Imhotep was cursed with the dreaded Hom-dai, a curse so horrible that it was hardly ever used in fear that horrible consequences would arise. Evelyn Carnahan-O'Connell read from the Book of the Dead and awakened him as well as the ten plagues of Egypt that he brought forth. O'Connell, Evelyn, Jonathan, and Ardeth were able to stop him before he was able to rise Anck-su-namun from the dead. Recently, Meela Nais, Anck-su-namun's reincarnation, and the curator of the British Museum, Mr. Haffez awakened Imhotep for an attempt to use him to kill the Scorpion King and take control of his army of Anubis Warriors to destroy the earth. The O'Connell's, Jonathan, and Ardeth Bay were able to prevent this, however. He met his demise falling into the pits of hell when Anck-su-namun refused to save him. Meela Nais Meela Nais is the reincarnation of Imhotep's lover, Anck-su-namun. She and Mr. Haffez attempted to allow Imhotep to take over the world. Imhotep was able to awaken Ack-su-namun's soul in her body. While posessed by Anck-su-namun she murdered Evelyn O'Connell, the reincarnation of Princess Nefertiri, who was responsible for the discovery of Imhotep and Anck-su-namun's murder of her father. While Imhotep was on the edge of hell, losing his grip, she ran away rather than saving him form his demise. After, she fell into a pit full of scarab beetles and was eaten alive. |
