| Ismaili have been focused on doing well in this competition since they have lost two successive finals in a row - the Egyptian Cup and Egypt-Saudi Cup. They have so far seen through Zanaco of Tanzania (agg 1- 0) and AS Port Louis of Mauritius (agg 7 -0). They are mow in training for their next match. |

| Zamalek have only themselves to blame as they come crahing out of the Champions League. The team have lost out on the title which they are current holders of. Their fans have shown their anger at Zamalek's coach who has now left. Zamalek lost 1 - 0 to Simba of Tanzania away and returned the favour with a 1-0 |
