I don't consider myself a poet, but these are all poems that I wrote from within. I was very blessed to have them published.
Now It's Different (Dedicated to John Neuburg, 1999)
I sit alone and think of you,
wondering what could have been.
But now it's different somehow,
now I'm seeing what I had not seen.
You were my vision of love,
I sat and longed for your embrace.
But now it's different somehow,
now my heart holds you in another place.
I used to feel that I needed you,
I felt that to lose you would be the end.
But now it's different somehow,
I've moved on and you're still my best friend.
I will always love you,
in my life you will always have a part.
But now's it's different somehow,
now I have rediscovered my heart.

What is Love? (2000)
Where do we find this feeling, love?
Is it in her smile?
Is it in his caress?
Is it hearing from a long forgotten friend?
Is it blushing from a knowing look?
Is it having a hand to hold?
Is it being consumed by desire?
Is it her gaze setting me on fire?
Is it waking up in his arms?
Perhaps it is all of these things, and more.
We find love in everything.
It surrounds us wherever we turn.
The real question should be,
"when do we love,
and when do we learn?"
