Biography: Terri Rhaines was born in Eugene, Oregon in 1964. Her dad ran a construnction business. Terri have always been intrested in animals ever since she was a child when her father would bring animals that have been injured on the highways home to bring back to health. Ever since then, Terri put her heart in saving animals.
in 1986, Terri opened a "Cougar Country" rehabilitation center for varies of animals. They were treating up to 300 animals a year (talk about dedication). In 1989, Terri joined the emergency veterinary hospital. Terri was helping her dad in his busness, working for the "Cougar Country, and working in the emergency hospital talk about a very busy lady.
In 1991, Terri decided to take a vaccation (she needed it) to Australia. At the same time she would stop by and see the diffrent rehabilitaion facilities and what they had to offer. She saw a sing that said Australia Zoo, she decided to go there. As she was walking she heard a voice stating "Crocodiles are so cute....." as she heard this in her mind she never thought that crocodiles were cute. Terri went to where the voice was coming from and when she saw this man in the crocodile pit her eyes met up with the man (Steve Irwin) and it was like a fairytail, it was love at first site.
Terri decided to move to Australia after three months and then after eight months they were married.
In 1992, Steve and Terri started filming "The Crocodile Hunter" and it was a hit from the start. They filmed 50 epesodes of The Crocodile Hunter and 52 epesodes of The Croc Files. In 1998, Bindi was born and let me tell you Bindi is a natural animal lover. |
