Montreal Accomodations

If you are arriving from the airport, there is a flat rate for all taxi cabs going anywhere in the city core of about $35.  There is also a very useful shuttle bus that goes directly downtown.  Its website is:

Another website with a number of good airport suggestions for Montreal is:

A few of our conference participants from last year stayed at the Montreal Hostel (514-843-3317) which is downtown. Another hostel is Globetrotter Hostel (514-521-9628) in the Plateau, which is one of Montreal's most well known neighbourhoods. You can get to the university on public transit from each of these spots.

There are several good and affordable hotels in the city. The one closest to the Universit de Montral is Hotel Terrasse Royale (514-739-6391) on Cte-des-neiges Street. If you're interested in staying at a bed-and-breakfast place, there are some nice ones on Laval avenue. If you're Google-ing Montreal accomodations, you'll probably want something that's in the downtown core, in the Plateau Mont-Royal district, or in the Ctes-des-neiges neighbourhood. But there are lots of other cool neighbourhoods too. Don't hesitate to check back with us to verify location.

Campus Directions

For a map of our campus, please click
here.  Please note that all of our events will be held in Pavillon Lionel-Groulx, 3150 Jean-Brillant.  The two closest mtro stations, as shown on the campus map, are Ctes-des-neiges (Green Line) and Universit-de-Montral (Blue Line).  The two bus routes that pass by the campus are the 165 (and during rush hour, the 535) which leaves from Mtro Guy-Concordia downtown, and the 51, which runs from the Plateau neighbourhood, and starts from Mtro Lauier.  To consult the Montral mtro website, which includes a trip planner called ''Tous Azimuts'', please click here.
