| COMPOSITIONS OF GEOMETRY OF FALLEN ANGELS Cygnus Loop I used two archives of image, pertaining to the Cygnus Loop. Of these images, whose parameters I modified in Photo Studio 2000 (brightness, shade and saturation, approach, etc.), I obtained 25 sequences midi and I selected 15. These were mixed of different forms, until deciding its definitive site. Of this tunei t knew clearly what wished for the end, that is to say, the mixture of bells, choirs and other several stringed instruments. Its main part, I composed it with base in the melodic sequences that I obtained and I modified. I returned twice to the program, one to isolate an instrument and to generate the effect crystalline that it precedes to the final subject, already described, and second, in order to include a stringed instrument. Gingerbread tune of the 2004. Nubium Sea Gingerbread tune. Its original name was "Little Crater", partly due to the brevity of the composition. By the way, later I was decided to make longer compositions, by an advice of Marc Fraser, composer of great quality. For tune, I used a photography of the Moon, obtained of the Autonomous National University of Mexico. I was based on two sections of the Mare Nubium, for the mixture. Composition of the 2003. Kepler in the Sargasso` Sea Hybrid tune Gingerbread + Make-Prime-Music. It happens that Kepler is one of my historical heroes, if such expression is allowed me. For that reason, I used number 88 to obtain his tune in Make-Prime-Music, since that number is the calculated one by Kepler for the Mercury orbit. I thought about the title of Kepler in the Sea of the Sargazos, like a metaphor of the human mind deepening in the reality, with the security sense that gives the intellectual dominion. Unlike the other compositions, this title was born first, and tune, later. The sound of number 88 corresponds to the surge that is listened to in several points of the composition. Later, I used an image of the Nebula of Kepler. Theme following to the second surge is the same one, but becoming more complex as it advances, as much in its instruments, like in the modification of its musical parameters, such as the time, in addition to the position of the sound layers. This it is another case where the mixture took enough time. Composition in Gingerbread of the 2004. Sequential Horizon Make-Prime-Music tune. The generation of tunes obtained of numbers depend also of the speed of the personal computer. The generation of the sound of the number 134557,987, that one is at the beginning, it took all one night. In addition, includes the sounds of the number 6345,917 and prime number 7,919. in some segments, the sound of this number is in reverse, looking for the loudness of which it could be a antiprime number. I consider that tunes generatives can have the sense of normative music, that is to say, traditional, or to look for a more abstract sense. Of there the selection of its instruments and the general development of the composition. The idea of the title Sequential Horizon, it must to that the melodic sequences include the "antiprime sound", plus a very high number, first that was happened to me, that is to say, experimenting with an idea of numerical limits. I have composed others tunes of this type, that they are not included in this CD. Composition of the 2003. Heretic Monks Gingerbread tune. Generated totally by the Set of Mandelbrot, it has two sequences and four instruments. This one belongs to a project of style darker than I prepare from the 2003, year of the composition. Stellar Birds Its beginning and end, is the original sound of the electromagnetic emissions of Tucanae 47. I included it because its musicality made an impression to me. The rest, it was generated totally by the Set of Mandelbrot. As other composers of the generated style have done, also I consider that originating sounds of natural sources can be used, mainly when, without taking part in them, as the case of Tucanae 47, they are music in themselves. Gingerbread composition of the 2004, first of that year. Kepler Variations I retook the images of the Nebula of Kepler used in the Sea of the Sargsso, as well as some of the archives of original sound that kept in the program, and I modified its parameters, tempos, etc. The most difficult part was the fusion of the principle, where the time accelerates, because they are different archives and it had to be listened to in continuous form. He is tune longer, but really it is conformed by counted melodic subjects, varied in a considerable number of sound archives, mixed and modified in the instrumentation. The title comes indeed from the fact of being a variation of previous Kepler tune, and fundamentally, of which its own sequences, cradles in the same melodic subject, they follow one another to variations in the parameters of the program. Composition in Gingerbread of the 2004. Crystal's Shadows Generated by the image of an ice microcrystal. Its central subject wasinitially one of the sequences obtained for a secondary paper, but its loudness lead to give him the primary position to me and to reject most of the others, reason why I returned to the program to emphasize the rate of its drums and to experience more with the instrumentation, as well as to explore its atmosphere of nocturnal condition. The fact that the image was a microcrystal, it lead to select virtual instruments to me with a loudness of crystalline nature and to experience with the texture and the volume of these sounds. Composition of the 2004. Commentaries The composition programs fractal are based mainly on the exploration of the geometric forms, while the melodic sequences are analyzed that are generated of this exploration; nevertheless, this exploration is the initial part of the work, then the options that the program has, they allow to experiment with at least 127 virtual instruments, changes of time and other several options, moment where the creative sense conducts battle human. This it is the case of Gingerbread and Make-Prime-Music. In the Gingerbread program, the screens show magnifications of the Set of Mandelbrot. Thus, with an experimentation idea, I decided to load other images in this program, in order to see the result. I chose images of stellar objects, seizures of Internet, of sites like the file of the Institute of Astronomy of the UNAM and the Hubble telescope. Astronomy is a science that always it has attracted to me, and it had a great personal interest to know what tunes would generate their photographies. It is possible to mention that, for January of the 2005, I have composed 40 tune as much of Set M, like of different images. The CD Geometry contains a selection of which I consider are significant in the evolutionary intention of the Egregora Studio Most of the others, they will be available when the following passage of Egregora takes shape. Most of the compositions of the CD, they belong to images bmp different from Set M. In Make-Prime-Music, I included prime and nonprime numbers. The maximum working time that took a composition me they were 70 hours, and the minor, 36 hours, from the final generation of the melodic sequences and decisions on its definitive form, happening through its depuration, fundamentally by its mixture and finally, by the conversion to mp3 and the decision of the site that would occupy in the CD. |
