“Two Towers”

A new sun rises
Over the glittering city,
And they walk
Beneath crystal blue skies.
In an instant,
The tranquility is broken
With an unearthly howl.
Then chaos strikes,
Four horsemen from the sky,
And the two towers bend and fall.
The crystalline sky shatters
Into a blanket of gray ash.
They try to look
Upon the torn heavens
But all they see is gray.
All this in an instant.
The sun sets in the blood red sky
And a new sun rises.
A new sun over a new world
Where fear reigns,
And the reason for it
Fades with the memories
Of the two towers.
