“Fire in the Sky”
Sunlight,
Harsh and cruel.
Sunlight sets the day on fire.
With ruthless compassion,
It descends from its lofty abode,
Telling only truth
To all who have eyes to see.
Moonlight,
Soft and pure.
Moonlight turns the night to day.
Sets the world aglow
In false and reflected light.
A warm, white fire
That shows what we want to see.
