GIGS
Blaydon Cricket Club, Saturday 10th November - Sold Out!!
As this was Egocentric's first gig, it was natural that we were all pretty nervous. At 8:30, we hit the stage to entertain the paying public with half an hour of great songs. Barry, the guitarist, was especially nervous at this time, since it was his acoustic instrumental that started off the first song, "Looking Out".

Looking out went great, and so did the rest of the set, even when Anthony messed up the keyboards in their first cover of the night, Robbie Williams - Angels, he turned it into a part of the act, the boys from Gateshead could do no wrong.

Two songs later, and it was interval time, with a well contested general knowledge quiz, an egocentric t-shirt selling for 5, and fierce battle between Graham and Anthony over 24 bottles of Stella in the auction, (Anthony won!) and a music quiz. 10:30 came, it was time for the second set.

This set was modified, due to time restrictions, It was the acoustic ballad "Come out to Play", which started this set off, and then straight into the 'Phonics - "I wouldnt believe your Radio", "Memories Untold" followed with "Better Days" finishing off the night.

What happened next, none of the band expected. A round of applause, followed by,
people asking for autographs!!!!   A lad came up and told us how much he enjoyed the set, which was nice to hear, and Terry, the brains behind the entire night, very kindly invited us back again sometime, which hopefully we will take up.
