EGLIN SINGLES ACTIVITES

BASICS ABOUT THE BASE:
Eglin AFB, the largest land base in the Air Force, is located on the Florida Panhandle, between the communities of Valpariaso/Niceville and Ft Walton Beach. A test base, it's also home to the 33rd Fighter Wing, the Navy EOD School and Hurlburt AFB, which lays nestled inside it's borders west of Ft. Walton Beach. Eglin has base housing, a large BX-Commissary complex, a regional hospital and two Chapels. It also has six dormitories for single, first-term airmen on the main side of base, conveniently located across the street from Chapel Center, where many singles activities occur. Four of the six dorms are newly remodeled and the remaining two are works-in-progress. The dorms are also within convenient walking distance from the Fitness Center, Gym, our newly covered and heated pool, hobby center, two shoppettes with eating facilites and the new Enlisted Club. Eglin also has a Sand & Spur club for horse owners and lots of education opportunities for those interested in college.

AIRPORTS:
Okaloosa County Airport (VPS) services the Eglin/Ft Walton Beach/Hurlburt area. A full-service airport, it shares the Eglin runway and sports a brand new terminal. (The Pensacola Airport is a 90-minute drive from Eglin.)

Every Sunday Night, 5:30pm, at Dave's and Bev's house, a dinner is held for the physical appetite and Bible discussion for the spiritual appetite. Application and personnal growth is the emphasis. Participants take turns leading the disucssion and often volunteer to cook a meal.
