Appel Farm, Year 3, 8X10's
These are all of my 8X10's that I started mass producing after I finished printing a ton of 5X7's.  I really like how the 8X10's turned out.  This is the first year that I made a lot of them.  I had only made one or two in the past.
This is a picture of Nate, one of my best friends from Appel Farm.  The negative was kind of dirty, which pissed me off!!  But it's still a cool picture.  He was trying to fix his camera at the moment, because the film had jammed.  I could have burned in the unfocused light in the back, but it probably wouldn't have made a difference.  I like the picture this way anyway.
This is a picture of Ayla, holding an apple with a caterpillar on it.  The negative was majorly dirty, no matter what I did, but eh, I lived.  I really like the composition in this picture.  Again with the unfocused light in the back.  I liked this photo so much that I did a painting of it as well, which turned out cool.
This is a picture of a construction site in Suburban Square.  It's from the roll that I took before camp.  This picture was a dream to print because I didn't have to do anything to it at all.  I took this picture looking down from the train station, and I'm glad I did it then because the building is basically complete now.
This was also taken from the train station.  It's the parking lot across the street from the train station, and I really like the composition.  This one wasn't as easy to print, because I really had to burn in the sky, even though you can't really tell on the computer.  I guess my scanner is just crappy.
This is a sign that was up at the Salem County Fair and I just thought that it was so funny, so I took a picture.  It has a cool effect because the curtain has the sharp focus, and the things on it are slightly blurred.  You had better listen to Uncle Sam!
This is also from the Salem County Fair.  The people in the picture from right to left are:  Nate, Josh, and Sam (Nate's brother).  They're looking at their reflections in the front of a very shiny truck.  Doug was the one that set up the shot.
I took this shot with my camera flat against the telephone pole looking up.  I really like the composition, and again the way the light is blurred on the right.  It's backlit, which is why it's so dark.  The darkness kind of sets a mood which I like.
I'm not even really sure where this photo was taken, except that it was on the roll that I took before camp.  When it was a 5X7, the easil was horizontal instead of vertical, and there was more detail to the right and the left of the tree, but I like it this way better.  The whiteness of the background and the bare branches sets a mood that I find kind of creepy.
