The woman was named Rebecca Forester and lived in an apartment in town. I knew which part well because I grew up a few blocks from it. It was a very nice place. To provide this living she was some professional something. All desk jobs ring the same to me, paper pushers love titles that dont mean anything. I went by her place first to see if anyone was there. Remembering that I didnt know her car I had to wait outside her office until close and hope to catch her. I doubt the man would be with her at work.
I parked the car and looked at my watch it read quarter till eleven. The sun was getting hotter so I cranked up my ac it would be a long wait.
Night Sam. Sam, who is Sam? I thought looking up. I had fallen asleep. Not for long though it was only something till one and there she was sitting in her car across the lot from me. She was digging through her large white purse for her keys no doubt. Finally
she found them and started her car. The man was of course not with her. Drive-thru food always taste awful to me, but since she was getting lunch I might as well.
Let me get a number two with no mayo and a large fry. Is said into the scary clown head.
The stoner on the other side repeated my order to me, NUMBER TWO! Mayo and a fry. Having number two screamed at me made me feel like I was on a sinking ship. The rest was so low I could only guess thats what he said. I didnt care it was only so I could keep tabs on her.
She got her food quickly and promptly. Mine took about six minutes. They just kept walking by the pickup window. Finally I got my food and went back to her office. Knowing her car would make this easier. Parked in the same spot her can and mine sat. The place closed at nine so she had to come out after that.  I watched the sun in the sky go from high to moon. Then all at once twenty people came out started their cars and drove away. The lights made it hard to see anything from where I was sitting and when I finally could see again she was already driving off. I lost her in traffic, but not as if it mattered I knew where she lived. Back at her house she was already inside I saw her head walk by her window twice then the light went out.
The whole day was a bust seeing as I got a late start. I returned home and set my alarm. I would be up to see her off to work and I hope see the young man off as well. My current employer woke me before the alarm. This should not take more than a day. Yet I have been told that you are making it take that long. his tone was the same as in the hotel. He kept making pauses so someone could talk to him. I couldnt hear what they
were saying, but it was fast almost rapid. Look I do not tell people how to do their jobs, but I do want the job done in an timely fashion.
Still mostly asleep I responded with, I never saw the guy Im sure Ill spot him tomorrow, max by the end of the week and then its just fine, just fine. I was repeating myself because I was nervous and tired he didnt seem to notice at all. This was a normal call most people that arent used to putting out hits assume the person in question will be dead when I leave. There is always a follow up call the next day. First timers are as bad as 15 year olds wanting to as Marry Lou to the prom.
He had to be with her where else could the bastard go? Just get this finished tomorrow alright. His end went dead and I dropped my phone back on the receiver. Just as I did that my alarm went off. It took me by so much surprise that jumped up and shot it with the 38 I keep under my pillow. Today is going to be awful thank god Im going to shoot someone.
At her house after my shower, shave, and alarm cock clean up she was just getting up and walked by her window. Still no man. It didnt bother me yet because I could only see in the one window. He could be anywhere, but if I dont see him today Im going to have to be a lot more direct.
Her lights went out so she must be on her way. My cell phone started to vibrate and fell onto the floor. I had left it in my lap because it digs into my side when I sit. I reached around for it until finally unlocking my seat belt and leaning over for it. I couldnt see if she was coming out of the building yet, but the phone could be important. It was taped under the passenger seat, but I was not able to free it in time to answer the call. They didnt leave a message either, you win some you lose some. Rebecca was in her car with her large purse out again. Finally finding her keys she flipped back her blond hair and drove to work.
Parking in the same spots as yesterday I watched her get out of her car gingerly and there he was. He was under my nose the entire time. She held him when she was finally standing running her fingers over and around him. They were sweet together even I felt something for them, but a paying job is just that. I got out of my car and opened the trunk. The gentle thud from the trunk would draw their attention. Pulling the case out I removed the gun and got back into the car. I watched as my window went down slowly. She turned back to her car to shut the door still having a hand placed on him she smiled. I took aim at the tiny package she held inside her and in her hand.
