| If you have Weber ancestors or relatives in the city of Buffalo, Erie County, New York....go no further. Weber is a common name, but I can almost guarantee you if you have Weber's in your family tree specifically in Buffalo between 1850-1900, you'll find them right here! I will eventually, I would think, expand to include Weber's throughout the county of Erie. However, this is a new place! We're totally new, in fact there are barely any records here yet. We currently have all the Weber's listed in the St. Boniface Church Records, St. Mary's Church Records, and the 1861 Buffalo City Directory. Any Weber's appearing in the parish registers from 1849-1899 from St. Boniface Church in Buffalo will be listed. For St. Mary's, Weber's appearing from 1843-1899 will be listed. St. Mary's has much better records genealogically-speaking. You'll see what I mean if you go to those records. For St. Mary's only I also have confirmations, as well as BMD. There weren't many Weber's at St. Mary's, I'm not sure why, but maybe we'll see lots of them at the other two churches I plan on doing soon, St. Louis' and St. Ann's. Anyways, this entire site is and will always be free as an "aid" in your Weber research. One reason why I'm doing this is I have Weber roots. I'm looking everywhere possible for my Weber's. Obviously, not every Weber I find is my relative. In fact, most aren't related to me. So, I thought I'd just keep track of any Weber's I see anywhere, and maybe one that isn't my relative will be someone elses, and they'll come to the site and get new info. That's the purpose of the site. Mine appear to be from Bavaria, they were basketmakers living in the Cherry Belt, and it was a large family. Census records and more Buffalo city directories for the name Weber will also be here in time. It will be a great place to look for your roots for particularly the Weber surname. Thanks for any help (if you have Weber data to share with the site), just e-mail me if you can help, and I hope you find this site useful. Remember this is my family as well so if you find your Weber's don't hesitate to contact me regarding my Weber's. Most of the St. Boniface Weber's appearing after 1859 are somehow related to me, in fact I am a desecendant of Jacob Weber and Catharina Kraebel, who attended that church throughout the 1860's, 1870's, and 1880's. |
