My Ancestors: Who Were They?
For the past three years, in my spare time, I have been researching my family history or genealogy. I start by recording first, middle, and last names. Then I go for specific dates, especially birth, marriage, and death. Then I move on to more detailed information such as their occupation, life events, and medical info. Put all of my discoveries together and you have one massive family tree. Unfortunately, in respect to living individuals, I do not have all the data posted on the Internet currently. However, I will post bits and pieces of it at forums (data on families, again never living individuals). If you would like to view part of my family tree, the part I feel is public domain, you can do so by clicking here as it will direct you to that website. That website includes all ancestors I've found and some additional information you will not find here. This site I am putting up is specifically for my ancestors and will give you a better picture of what each of their lives were like, as I know it. For the first time ever, I am going to try to tell the stories I've come across for my ancestors. These stories paint a picture of the lives my ancestors lived, some centuries ago. Some of these stories are known by relatives, but most have been untold for decades. Some people may be surprised to learn about some of the facts I'm about to give and others may be fascinated. I hope I do a good job of telling about the lives my ancestors have lived. This is an effort to tell the world about my ancestors and I am only trying to answer one question in doing this. Who were they?

First of all, in researching my family history, I have found it both surprising and fascinating that my ancestors were very diverse. I used to think I was Irish and that was it. Then I learned I was German and Polish. Now I know that I'm much more than that. I have all of the following roots, possibly even more as I am still working on this never-ending project. If one of the below origins is written in red it's found in both of my parents. If it's green it's from my dad's side and blue it's from my mom's side.

I am a descendant of all of the below individuals. Click on one to learn more about their lives. If there is an asterisk (*) next to their name it means I have a photograph of them and you can see it by clicking on their name.

Click here for an ancestral report that I created for myself from my family tree program, Family Tree Maker. I felt I should put it on the site. The family tree of mine you can access by clicking above in the introduction paragraph incudes all ancestors names like this family tree. That one also includes notes on ancestors, but this one here includes siblings of ancestors. Between these two things, you can look for connections to me and my ancestors and then contact me for more. Hopefully through this I'll find some distant cousins and I'll educate the relatives I already know of that are interested in the roots that they share with me. On top of those two family trees I have the individual pages listed below to learn more about a specific ancestor.
