Plans are underway for 2004 EELFEST
We've finally got some more news about the convention.  As you know, it is set for September 18th, and we can now officially announce that it will once again be held at the Hampton Inn & Suites (Chicago River North).  We have ten (and *only* ten) rooms set aside for our group at a  discounted rate, so if you need to book one, I suggest you do it soon.

Our rate for a standard double room is
$149/night (for the 17th through the 19th only).  I believe they are going for $179/night if you don't book with our group, so this is a significant savings.

In order to book, you must call the hotel directly and ask for
"in house reservations", then tell them you are with the Early Edition Group.  The number for the hotel is: 1-312-832-0330.  And for those of you first-time conventioneers, you'll find the hotel is in a great location--within walking distance of a lot of great stuff-- restaurants including Harry Caray's (seen in "Take Me Out to the Ballgame") and
Rainforest Cafe,  and the Borders book store and  the Water Tower (seen in "Fatal Edition" part one). And there's a free trolley to Navy Pier (seen in "The Wall" and "Play it again, Sammo")  that you can catch less than a block away.   But best of all, it's just a few blocks from the  old firehouse used for the exterior of McGinty's.

If you are driving into the city, the hotel has parking for about
$30/night in their garage, or for about $13/night (with the Hampton's validation) in a secured lot on the next block behind the hotel.  Please
ask about this when reserving your room.
