They're the best choir you could ever know!

It's the Road Rovers!

Critics say they're the best group around! Their songs have inspired so many people to sing happy joyous songs. No one should be without one of their songs at home!

Okay, so the Rovers don't actually sing, they just move with the beat... it'd be interesting, though... well, there was that one time Exile sang "Jingle Balls", but that wasn't a full song. No, actually this page is made for the lyrics that pop up here and there on the show. There's always a main theme. Curiously, though, there are two seperate versions of the beginning, with only one difference: the quotes within them.

The main theme is available to download. For PC users, right click and go to the "save link as", for Mac users, push option then click the button (link, whatever).

Version 1
Version 2

The words to the two different versions are as follows.

Version 1

Barkin', scratchin', frisbee catchin'
Presidential pets
Hunter: That's us!
Change into the canines who
Drive souped up cars and jets.
Colleen: Comin' through!
Tuchus-sniffin', toilet sippin'
Soarin' through the sky
Exile: I like it.
Lickin', droolin', quick-refuelin'
Who said dogs can't fly?
Blitz: Not me.
Speedin', crashin', villian smashin'
Vehicles explode
Road Rovers: Oooooh!
Chasin', racin' down the road
Road Rovers!
Hunter is a hero hound
Leader of the pack.
Hunter: Heh, cool!
Colleen comes from London town
Watch her feet attack.
Colleen: Hi-ya!
Exile's from Siberia
With super frozen sight.
Exile: That's me!
Blitz chews on posterior
His bark's worse than his bite.
Blitz: I'm perfect.
Shag is strong from head to toe
A coward through and through
Shag: Rah, rah, rah!
Muzzle's stack is gonna blow
He's short a screw or two
Muzzle: Ruh, ruh!
They fight for right both day and night
In every episode
Hunter: Let's roll!
Now it's time to hit the road
Road Rovers!

Version 2

Barkin', scratchin', frisbee catchin'
Presidential pets
Hunter: Gather 'round!
Change into the canines who
Drive souped up cars and jets.
Colleen: We all here?
Tuchus-sniffin', toilet sippin'
Soarin' through the sky
Exile: I'm all set!
Lickin', droolin', quick-refuelin'
Who said dogs can't fly?
Blitz: Let's do it.
Speedin', crashin', villian smashin'
Vehicles explode
Hunter: Alright, here we go!
Chasin', racin' down the road
Road Rovers!
Hunter is a hero hound
Leader of the pack.
Hunter: I was off.
Colleen comes from London town
Watch her feet attack.
Colleen: Way off.
Exile's from Siberia
With super frozen sight.
Exile: You were flat!
Blitz chews on posterior
His bark's worse than his bite.
Blitz: I was perfect!
Shag is strong from head to toe
A coward through and through
Shag: Rah, rah, rah!
Muzzle's stack is gonna blow
He's short a screw or two
Muzzle: Ruh, ruh!
They fight for right both day and night
In every episode
Hunter: All together now!
Now it's time to hit the road
Road Rovers!

Even though this cartoon show is a comedy-action-packed cartoon, it still has some songs along the way. One is the "Werewolf Cure" song sung by Confusus. The wav file of this song can be found here. The words to the song can be found below.

Werewolf Cure Song

Confusus: (spoken) Werewolf curse... werewolf curse... Right! Got it. (coughs) Pardon me. Ahem! (music starts)
The victim's problem will have ceased
When you find the drool of the beast.
Add water from the English moor
And you will have the perfect cure.
But if you fail by the dawn of day
Forever a werewolf he will stay!
Now get! Get out!

Another song sung by three of the Rovers is the "Russian Names" song. This song you probably won't be hearing on the reruns by Cartoon Network. When you hear it, there is a certain area that makes the song sound inappropriate, so the song will never air again. The song can be heard here. The lyrics are below.

Russian Names Song

Note: To make this look cleaner, B=Blitz, C=Colleen, E=Exile, and M=mysterious man
M: State your name.
E: Exilo Micailovich Sanhusky (excuse my spelling)
M: What kind of a name is that?
E: It is Russian. All Russian names are like this.
C: That's right. You see... (music starts)
C: Russian names are a kind of a game.
E: There's a first and a last and a middle name.
C: Giving the first name is the mama's chore
E: Like Boris, Alexander, or Fyador.
B: Last name comes from the family
E: Like Pushkin, Basylrov, or Porfiry.
C: With the middle name, now here comes the fun
The papa gives his first name to the son.
E: Then add an -ovich or a -yevich to the end.
B: Here's an example so you comprehend.
C: The papa's name is Sonov, now here's the switch
E: The kid's middle name is Sonovovich.
BC:Yes, the kid's middle nams is Sonovovich, ya!
CBE:Thank you, ya, thank you.
(lights turn out)
CE:Oops.

There ya have it, folks, the lyrics to the Road Rover songs. Hope you enjoyed. As for me, I'm off to sleep!
