The guidance office complements the instructional program of the school program is a part of the curriculum and helps in the achievement of the vision and mission of the school. The Guidance Services aim at assisting the students in developing their potential for growth and self-fulfillment and to become individuals imbued with Christian Values.
Guidance Counseling
School counselors help to make learning a
positive experience for every student. They are sensitive to individual
differences. They know that a classroom environment that is good for one student
is not necessarily god for another. Counselors facilitate communication the best
interests of each individual student. They help individual
students make the most of their school experiences and prepare them for the
future. School counselors help students develop social skills and succeed in
school. Career counselors assist people with the process of making career
decisions by helping them choose a career or educational program.

GUIDANCE CLASSES
Guidance classes are assigned to assist students in learning college
success strategies and life management skills. These classes focus on
development of the whole person and help students identify personal,
educational, and career goals as well as make satisfying decisions for
transition to the workforce as productive members of society. The learning and
self-management skills developed in students success classes can serve a
lifetime. Guidance classes do not lead to a major but are designed to provide
students with the skills necessary for achieving personal, academic, and career
success.
Peer Facilitators Program
A Peer Facilitators offers
assistance to someone within his own social group. Students, soldiers and the
elderly are examples of groups within which certain people can offer special
help to their associates, colleagues or friends due in part to the insights that
only those with shared experiences can understand.
Peer Facilitators Program can help with :
*To develop deeper sense of service
orientation sense of development through group dynamics to enhance the
students self-image, self-esteem.
*To conceptualize the responsibility and role of a peer counselor and value its
importance.
*To boost their listening and counseling skills towards a competent and
effective peer counselor and link with others effectively.
*To assist the guidance counselor in the promotion and implementation of
programs and services.
*Differs from "outsider" such as parent, professor or doctor, and
guides and
advices much like a mentor. The facilitator often ha intimate knowledge of
a situation or struggle that a peer is facing.
Orientation Program
Every year, the Office conducts
orientation activities for the new students of the bcc. Parents of these new
students are also being oriented of the school's and guidelines administrations,
faculty and personel, and other concerns.
Career Program
The Guidance Office aids students in choosing their careers by providing with the information regarding college applicants; by conducting placement, interest ,and scholastic aptitude tests;through career counseling; and through career exposures.
Admission
The Office provides testing and
interview for incoming students.
