Magic Immunity (Ex): Golems completely resist most magical and supernatural effects, except where otherwise noted below. Ice Golems take double damage from Fire. Cold based attacks heal 1d4 points of damage per caster level. Electric based attacks Slow the golem (as per the spell) for one round for every 10 points of electrical damage.

Freezing Body (Ex): The body of an Ice Golem is so cold, any unarmed attacks against it deal 1d6 cold damage to the attacker, and all slam attacks from the golem deal an additional 1d6 cold damage. 3x/day the golem can lower it's body temperature enough to make an icey mist roll off it's body. Treat this as an Obscuring Mist spell as cast by a 5th lvl Sorcerer.

Construction: The golem costs 80,000 gp to create, which includes 1,000 gp for the body. Assembling the body requires a successful Craft (sculpting or stoneworking) check (DC 17). The creator must be 16th level and able to cast arcane spells. Completing the ritual drains 1,600 XP from the creator and requires geas/quest, limited wish, protection from elements (fire), and Obscuring Mist.

Description
An Ice Golem is a large block of ice, roughly carved into a bulky humanoid shape. It is an icey blue color and partially opaque, with what appears to be snow or frost dusting the top of the head, shoulders, and arms, as if it had been standing outside in light snow. In fact, it looks so much like ice and snow, that when not moving, a Spot check (DC 17) is required to even notice it's presence when outside in icey/snowy conditions. The body is so cold, that it constantly has a cool mist rolling off of it's body, which the golem can amplify into a makeshift smokescreen up to three times per day.

The body is made of solid ice, and is therefore quite cold, as cold as the arctic to be precise. Thanks to protection spells cast into it during creation, the Ice Golem can maintain it's subzero form in all but the hottest conditions (such as in the desert or volcanic regions, where it takes 1d4 damage per minute exposed). The story goes that the first Ice Golem was created by a wizard from the northern providences after he witnessed his less than genius stablehand get his tongue frozen to the iron gate. As a result, he created a golem so cold that it's mear touch could freeze the very life from it's foes.

Since the creation of the original Ice Golem, duplicates have sprung up across the arctic regions, protecting the endless tundras or doing manual labor in the extreme temperatures that would kill even the most hardy of adventurers in minutes.

Ice Golems are favored greatly by White Dragons as guardians of their lairs while they hunt. Many adventurers who braved the lair of a white dragon while it was out have been suprised when one or more of the great blocks of ice rose up from behind and added what was left intact of their possesions to it's master's horde.
