Instead of trying to modify the courier I decided that I'd just go out & find a full sized truck. Parts would be easier (& cheaper) to find & four-wheel drive would be a much more common option. Not only that, but I could find one with an inline six to fool with. This is a 1984 F150 4x4 with the 300 six, NP435 4spd, NP208 transfer case & a 3.55 limited slip 8.8" rear. The 300 is actually a '79 & has the later EFI exhast, an offy intake with a autolite 2150 2bbl. I'm still determining what exactly what all I want to do with this truck. I have a couple of extra 300s that I (literally) inherited & I plan on building one (or making one out of the 2) up to make what the 300 is known for - TORQUE. I've now got a 9" rear & a solid axle front from a '79 bronco. Eventually I'll swap these in as well as go to a 3.73 ratio. |
