Prehistoric Art
This project will allow students to explore prehistoric cave art. It will allow them an understanding of the characteristics of prehistoric cave art, also will allow them to explore possible theories or reasons of prehistoric cave art. The project also will allow the student to produce their own prehistoric cave art displaying the characteristics of prehistoric cave art.

Teacher will introduce prehistoric art by showing and discussing art visuals of prehistoric cave art. These visuals will be 2-D art visuals and videos. The students can also view prehistoric art by exploring  the links provided.

This project will require two visits to the computer lab to allow to   students to have research time on a computer due to the limited access of computers in the classroom.

If additional time is needed they may continue in the classroom (art room) working on the computer for at least 10 minutes, no more than 20 minutes in groups of two students at a time. This project will last about two weeks.

Students will publish/create a web page using Geocities to state possible reasons why prehistoric people created their art. Students will create their own prehistoric cave art and using a digital camera to take a picture to be used on their web site.
