D60: 100-400 set at 300mm versus a 300mmULM ( non IS version)

If the samples (a part of a test picture) correspond to a 3x3 cm on your screen it represent a the part of a 20x30 260dpi. If the samples are 6x6 cm it�s like the same image printed 33x50cm ( A3+ ). The samples are only medium sharpen by the D60, apart the little image: sharp 60-1-1 (Photoshop �Unsharp Mask� settings).
Very little difference can be seen for A4 prints, A3 ( A3+) prints demonstrate softer printout for the 100-400f5.6 which can not be corrected by the �Unsharp Mask�.
Prints where done with a 1290 Epson printer on Epson �Premium glossy Photo Paper�.

complete image: the image was not taken at the right distance, so the lines/mm are not correct but just to compare two lenses.All where made with a D60 + lens and flash ( to minimise movement effects)
