| EDW 5: Exodus |
| EDW 5 kicked off with a shocker - 'Jump Around' hit the P.A. system, and Kash Flow walked through the curtain! After announcing that he while he had matured, he was still the same man, and that he would defeat everyone EDW threw at him, and that he was still the X Division Champion. And with that, the EDW owner Mr. Edwards joined Kash Flow in the ring. He took the mic, and said that while it was good of him to return, the X Division was now the X League, and Kash was no longer the X Champion. Edwards also took him up on his claim of beating anyone, and announced the return to EDW at Exodus of.....Wreckage!! KO Kid Vs. V.E.R.N The first match of the evening pitted the first EDW Champion, KO Kid, against the second champion, V.E.R.N. A highflying back and forth match ensued, with KO hitting the KO-mbination, as well as a top rope elbow and splash. V.E.R.N came back, wearing him down with kicks. At one point, V.E.R.N slapped KO, to which KO retaliated, and both men continued to slap each other across the face, full force, daring each other to make the next move. V.E.R.N looked to have had the match won after scoring with the Nightmare, but pulled KO up after two. Instead, V.E.R.N tried to lock on the Deadly Noise, but KO reversed it into the KO Kutter, and got the 1-2-3. Winner: KO Kid Gei Ki Jin Vs. Virus The long awaited debut of Gei Ki Jin at EDW seemed to be worth it, as both men went above and beyond to get the win. After early exchanges of armdrags and takedowns, Gei Ki was felled with a clothesline. Virus took control, but Gei Ki hit a cresent kick. Gei Ki hit a flurry of offense, including a reverse dragon screw, a double octopus headscissors, and a handspring bodypress, sending Virus out to the floor. Gei Ki then took Virus' arm, and ran along tthe wall, armdragging Virus. Back in the ring, Gei Ki hit a twisting hurricanrana, and a la magistral for a 2. Virus retaliated with a full nelson facebuster and a backdrop backbreaker, but Gei Ki managed to reverse that into a pinning combination for another two. Gei Ki struck Virus with a Kappo Kick, for another two, but, after trading rollups, was given a devastating double powerbomb backbreaker, but still managed to get a shoulder up. Virus took too long going for it again, and Gei Ki escaped, and hit with a beautiful Zephyr Kick. He then picked up Virus, and hit an elevated twisting DDT, getting the cover and the 1-2-3 Winner: Gei Ki Jin Wreckage Vs. Kash Flow Shortly before the match began, it was announced as a no-DQ match. Wreckage came to the ring with a steel chair. Kash struck first blood, with a low blow. He then went to work on Wreckage's leg with the chair, and choked him out with it. Wrecage made a comeback, with a bunch of punches and stomps in the corner, which had the fans erupting. He then took a step back, and hit a running knee to the corner. He followed up with a double arm DDT for a two count. Kash regained the advantage with a DDT, then went for the 'I Rule', but stopped after the 'I', and hit Wreckage with an elbow. The fight continued, and looked to be over after Wreckage hit the move formerly known as the 'Six Feet Under', but instead, Wreckage went to the top with the chair, but Kash moved, and Wreckage hit the chair as he fell. Kash took advantage of the mistake, and hit the Bank Roll for the 1-2-3. Winner: Kash Flow |
