eduTainment is a nationwide educational organisation with more than 50 offices in South Africa, one in Namibia and have received several queries from afar a field as Europe to expand our services to that continent
SUPPLEMENTARY SERVICE
eduTainment offers a supplementary service to the work that is done in schools and other educational institutions. The focus of our service is, firstly, the identifying of cognitive and temperament profiles and, secondly, the optimising of the dominant and restricting influences of these profiles on achievement, subject and career choices and, thirdly, the general functioning of the individual, from the toddler to the company director.
COPING WITH STRESS
The process to optimise general functioning, for example, includes the effective handling of stress during the learning process, at work and in relationships. The cognitive profile is correlated with achievement (and problems). The temperament profile is mainly associated with relationships. The outcome of our intervention shows increased achievement, and more relevant, is applicable to subject and career choices, better self-knowledge within and outside relationships and, a healthier lifestyle. We have already achieved excellent results, which can most probably be attributed to our policy of not only assisting the individual but, for example, it includes the parents in receiving information and training.
PAVING THE WAY
Sanet van Deventer had a vision. The culmination of many years of experience as a math teacher, 12 years' research and development work in the educational and the private sectors culminated into paving the way for the birth of eduTainment. Sanet's experience and knowledge is supported by a formal tertiary qualification, numerous specialist courses and years of work in collaboration with some of the top education consultants in South Africa – amongst others Dr Kobus Neethling and Dr Dawie Fourie
PIONEERING WORK
Sanet's pioneering work is widely accepted with appreciation and enthusiasm. Her comprehension of the needs and change in education and the private sector is keenly acknowledged by South Africa's best known education institutions (for example the Technolab of Engineering at the Rand Afrikaans University, which has implemented eduTainment – with exceptional results.
SERVICE ORIENTED CHARACTER
The service orientated character of eduTainment is a reflection of Sanet's life philosophy – in her personal capacity she was Volunteer Worker and Toktokkie of the Cancer Association of SA. She was Mayor's wife of Hartbeespoort (1990-1992), chairman of Dames Aktueel, and protector of Jong Dames Dinamiek Dammelyn. She has often spoken on radio and her public motivational talks has inspired many.
MORAL APPROACH
eduTainment has a strict ethical approach – both in the quality of the services we supply and in terms of our joint ventures with, for example, School Principles and other important players the SA Education Sector.
