MY AUTOBIOGRAPHY!!

Hi, thanks for taking the time to check this page out. Here is some general information about me and what I've been up to lately!

Just kidding, I don't want to see this...Time to Leave

Here is some basic information about me:

Basic Family Background
Although my parents are natives of the Bronx and Brooklyn, I’ve lived on Long Island all of my life. Actually, I grew up in North Babylon, right near Belmont Park. My father graduated North Babylon High School in 1966 and went on to play football for the Iowa Hawkeyes. After Dad returned to LI, he met my mother at a bar in Babylon called “The Villager” (now known as Barkers). My mom, Sylvia, is from Lindenhurst. She graduated from high school in 1965 and attended nursing school directly thereafter. For the past 30 years or so she’s worked as an LPN at Good Samaritan Hospital in West Islip, which is where I was born in 1979. Recently, my family moved to Dix Hills, which is a town a little further north of where I grew up.

Occupations
Right after graduating college this year I was fortunate enough to land a job teaching ninth grade English in Uniondale. The school is great and I can honestly say that I look foward to going to work (most days that is!) As well, I coach my school's speech and debate team, which has recently become a force to be reckoned with! Back in my old hometown of North Babylon, I coach pee wee cheerleading and sometimes do a little "consulting" with the High School teams. Cheerleading is definitely my passion, and is something I plan to become more involved with in the future.

The College Years
What the hell is an Orangeman? Well, in my four years at Syracuse University I never quite figured that out. In fact, there are lots of things that I didn’t learn in college that I probably should have. What’s important? I met some cool people, traveled to some interesting places, skipped a few boring classes, became involved with my sorority, developed an appreciation for many varieties of beer, and was able to graduate with a degree in Secondary English Ed.

Hobbies
Truthfully, I’m interested in lots of little things, but nothing so seriously that it devotes a huge chunk of my time. First of all, I am really into music in a variety of facets, which was inspired mostly by my short-lived career as a radio personality and a DJ at Maggies in Syracuse. Recently I’ve been experimenting with digitally remixing and producing, which may turn out to be an interesting hobby. My father, however, is seriously into grass roots motorsports and has done some interesting things on the track (with my 95 Neon no less!) I think that once I have more time I would like to learn more about that stuff. As well, I’ve recently become a devoted NFL fan and I enjoy making bets on who is going to win each week! In the future, I would like to learn how to cook, and maybe even start jogging again.

You go to an Italian restaurant, what do you order? fresh mozzarella and tomato salad with balsamic vinaigrette...and then maybe chicken and mushroom marsala...yum!

100 beers on tap, which one do you pick? I'm still partial to Woodchuck Granny Smith, just because its better on tap than it is in the bottle (IMHO).

Favorite Television DistractionsWhen I actually get a chance to watch TV, I'm into The Sopranos, Six Feet Under, Friends, and Boston Public.

Reading MaterialMy favorite novel is "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest"
