Resources

Introduction:

Resources available to us fall into three categories:  renewable, nonrenewable and inexhaustible.   It’s important that we use our resources wisely since once some resources are used up, they’re gone forever.  Increases in population result in increased demand on energy resources.  Demands for more electricity and petroleum have continued to increase. In short, the world is facing  a real energy crisis and we must think of ways to solve this crisis in an intelligent manner.  Keep this in mind as you learn about different types of renewable, nonrenewable, and inexhaustible energy resources.  By completing the webquest on resources, you will start your quest to learn more about our precious resources.

Final Evaluation Project

You have learned a lot about both renewable and nonrenewable resources.  Working alone or with a partner create a Powerpoint presentation that answers the following question:

Of the energy resources that you have studied, which one or which combination offers the best solution to solve the world’s energy crisis?

Conclusion:

In this process of completing this Webquest, I hope that you have gained a greater understanding and respect for our limited resources and the demands we place on them. You collected information about resources that you used to answer questions, and complete a final evaluation project.  This Webquest has allowed you to practice and apply research skills to offer solutions on how to best solve the world’s energy crisis.
